Arab savages WANT to believe U.S. is anti-Muslim
Newsweek runs a bullsh#t story with the shoddiest of journalistic practices that purports desecration of the Koran in Gitmo. The Arab world takes to the streets in anger, and innocents die. Muslims who don’t live here say it’s proof that the U.S. is anti-Muslim (which would come as a shock to Muslims who do live here).
Newsweek retracts its story, exposing its inaccuracy (that’s being kind) for all the world to see. The Arab world’s reaction? They still believe the now-discredited story, despite said story’s creators stating its bovine feces factor.
To summarize: believe the patently false story with the anti-Muslim theme, refuse to believe the same source which says the anti-Muslim story was false. The bloodthirsty cretins simply want to believe it. These third-world savages (and I mean only the ones who are still protesting and bitching about the lies) are only happy when they’re miserable.

Might I suggest that you take a look at this posting from the usually right-wing apologist “Political Teen” for some perspective on the actual timeline of events leading up to the riots:
http://thepoliticalteen.net/2005/05/17/blogline51705/
I think after careful consideration you will have to agree that the Newsweek byline had little effect on Muslim opinion, much less any rioting.
Now, with that salient into residing in your copious intellect, you might consider whether the Downing Street memo to the effect that WMDs and the rest of the pack of lies leading to our present fiasco in Iraq were “fixed” to justify the war that has cost the lives of 100,000+ Iraqis and 1600 brave Americans, and an estimated 100,000+ PTSD survivors, amputees, etc MIGHT be more worthy of your criticism.
Please don’t bother with “support the troops” hypocrisy unless you are prepared to put your life on the line and volunteer to go to Iraq.

BTW, Next Spring as a 23-year veteran of the military I am volunteering to go to Iraq to fight for you Chickenhawks. If you are so gung-ho about this mess put YOUR life on the line or shut up.
Comment by Steve Bremner | May 22, 2005
Steve,
First of all, thank you for your impending service in Iraq. You are to be saluted for it.
Secondly, I find your “put up or shut up” line to be laughable. I mean, some unemployed pot-smoking liberal pinhead holds up a sign or burns an American flag at a protest of similar unemployable misfits of society, and you folks on the left applaud them for exercising their First Amendment rights. These miscreants are spitting on you and the very people that give them their freedom, yet the left defends their “freedom of speech.”
Fair enough. Yet when someone with a contrary ideology (like me) exercises HIS First Amendment rights, he is told to “put up or shut up”? Mighty hypocritical of you, sir.
Your advice has been considered…and summarily rejected.
