I’m kinda new to this website so I didn’t pickup on the fact that Wailin’ was a liberal, or do you prefer progressive?

However, when you said , “I rejoice that they are no longer here facing the pain in the ass that is life” then I knew it must be a lib. Libs are so pessimistic and can’t seem to stand any kind of good news and just hate life in general even in this the greatest country in the world.

Wait for the report, then decide if it’s good for America or not. Mixed news is hardly good or bad, even in speculation.

Well, you now it’s a raging success since every day a soldier dies, hundreds of Iraqis die, and the last report was more negative because big issues are not being met. Perhaps there will be progress soon so we can get out, though. One can only hope.

Then again, yeah, success in Iraq would hurt chances of stopping the war and help Republicans and others for the war. Makes sense, really.

I so agree w/ you, Crush. When I read this article, I thought that both the Whip and the Washington Post were idiots: the Whip for not realizing the implications of his statement and the Washington Post (notoriously left slanted) for not burying this rather than emblazoning it. But, then again, I don’t think it’s any surprise that liberals cannot see the inherent fallacy of good for Iraq, good for America, bad for us logic. They will probably say it’s all a big military industrial conspiracy if the report is positive. Notice in the article that it focuses on the individual preparing the statement, not the state of affairs in Iraq– as if he could have the audacity to consider “preparing” a positive statement or “at best” a “mixed statement”. So at best is at least some negative for America. I hate to get Ad Hominum but liberalism really does seem more and more like a mental disorder to me.

They are more concerned with politics and power than what is right for America. They would be happier if things turned terribly wrong in Iraq which is dispicable. Whose side are they on anyway?
