		<description><![CDATA[It&#039;s not just teachers.  ALL school district employees are forced to pay union dues... even if you don&#039;t join the union.  It&#039;s called a &quot;Negotiating Fee&quot;.  Given that for every &quot;certificated&quot; (teachers) employee, there&#039;s usually 3 &quot;classified&quot; (administrators, desk jockeys, janitors, etc.) employees, that&#039;s a hell of a lot of negotiating.

When I worked at the local USD, I was told there would be a refund of union dues that weren&#039;t used for negotiating.  I later found out that it had only happened once in the history of the district, and the refund was was less than the cost of the stamp used to mail out the refunds.

And these people are responsible for educating our kids....]]></description>
