NYC further slouches towards dhimmitude

Something happened there six years ago that they must have already forgotten.  One would think the two gaping holes in the ground where two large skyscrapers once stood would jog their memory.  One would be wrong.  From Breitbart/AP:

New York’s iconic Empire State Building is to be lit up green from Friday in honor of the Muslim holiday of Eid, the biggest festival in the Muslim calendar marking the end of Ramadan, officials said. “This is the first time that the Empire State Building will be illuminated for Eid, and the lighting will become an annual event in the same tradition of the yearly lightings for Christmas and Hannukah,” according to a statement.

Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the fasting month, is expected to be celebrated in New York from Friday, depending on when the new moon is sighted, and the city’s tallest skyscraper will remain green until Sunday.

The city was attacked by Islamists, and will likely be so again in the future.  The Big Apple’s response?  “Hey, I know!  Let’s light up the likely next target in green so Muslims will like us.”  Friggin’ brilliant.  As Ace quips:

Let me give you a hint, Empire State Building. As far as the islamic nutbars you are bending over for are concerned, your “green lights” are nothing more than a “go” signal to hit your building next.

This is a disgrace. Have you capitulated to the Caliphate already, New York?

Apparently so.  How many times have I said that political correctness is lethal?  The next attack on NYC will bear that point out.  Alas, those idiots haven’t quite figured it out yet.
