1. This guy has no business being involved in the running of this country if he can’t even show the most basic of respect for us. As a vet, it enrages me to no end that he can be so disrespectful.

2. This is sad. What the hell is he thinking? At least he’s showing everyone who he is and where his allegiance lies. I know he’s free to express himself but if I were standing behind him like Richardson, I’d slap him in the back of the head, “get your hand up chump, and show some respect”.

3. Is that a sign of disrespect? If so, then maybe I should have said something to half the fans at Shea Stadium a few months ago. I didn’t know it was required to put your hand over your heart.

   “half the fans at Shea stadium” are not public figures with no patriotism who are currently vying for the most powerful position in the world representing the nation to whom he is refusing to pay the proper respects.

8. For those who want to know:

   § 301. National Anthem

   During rendition of the national anthem when the flag is displayed, all present except those in uniform should stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Men not in uniform should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should render the military salute at the first note of the anthem and retain this position until the last note. When the flag is not displayed, those present should face toward the music and act in the same manner they would if the flag were displayed there.

9. I learned in kindergarten to place your right hand over your heart when you recited the Pledge of Allegiance or when the National Anthem was being played/sung. But then, I did go to school in the United States.

10. Obama is really reaching out to the Far Left Fringe base who hate the flag, hate America and hate the National Anthem. In other words, he’s reaching out to the bloc John Edwards is pandering to.

11. Well not a surprise to me he demonizes US troops and expects me to vote for him on the basis that his skin color is the same as mine!
    What an a-hole he is!

    I hate to be the one to say this to Obama but he is being very ungrateful towards his country and unappreciative of the freedoms he wouldn’t find anywhere else!

    Racism is pretty much everywhere and much of the racism a lot of black people love to chronically whine about in the US probably pales in comparison to the racism they’ll encounter in the other parts of the world!

    I heard Africans hate American Blacks more than white people in the US(I don’t believe all racism in the US is hyperbole but I don’t believe every white person is a racist)!

    Right, because that kind of thing just comes naturally like walking and talking, right? We pop out of the womb knowing how to drink a bottle, cry, use the bathroom, and…place our hands over our hearts during the anthem?

    And quit saying his middle name every time you want to emphasize what a horrible guy Barack Obama is.

    Why whatever do you mean? Should he be ashamed of his middle name? If so, why? All tnjack did was mention his middle name, nothing more. Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
