Dem Congress: We’re fresh out of stuff to do

All problems in America must finally be solved! From the Old Gray Hag:

Democrats in Congress failed once again Friday to shift President Bush’s war strategy in Iraq, but insisted that they would not let up. Their explanation for their latest foiled effort seemed to boil down to a simple question: “What else are we supposed to do?”

Oh, I dunno. Maybe address Social Security’s impending insolvency? Stop massive Medicare waste and fraud? Tax reform? Energy solutions? Aside from trivial stuff like that, I haven’t the foggiest idea what else you lazy bastards can do in D.C.!

Good lord man leave the idiots be. The last thing I want is the Democratic answer to SS, taxes, medicare reform or energy. Their solution would be pay more to the govt and get less from the govt.
Their answer to the energy problem would be sit in the dark and cold, except of course for the Dem leaders who would live in luxurious energy waisting homes and drive behemoth vehicles.

Finally, I had a happy childhood, so my worldview has NOT been “warped” by a lousy upbringing. Quite the contrary: I have been blessed, and my outlook has been molded accordingly. I won’t apologize for having grown up in a loving, middle-class family.
