Fait accompli, my friends. The shameful saga of The New Republic has culminated in the only way it could have: TNR has had to admit they can no longer stand behind their story. In other words, their Scott Beauchamp “Winter Soldier”esque story was a steaming pile of bovine feces.
Between the conflict of interest, the hopelessly shameful biased coverage, their reliance on a single slanderous source who, oh by the way, happens to be a Bush-bashing barking moonbat and pathalogical liar), and their inability to perform some basic fact-checking (you know, that thing that the MSM sneers about when denigrating us bloggers?), TNR was doomed on this Ahab-like journey of theirs. Their credibility is forever ruined, and if there were any justice in this world, their editor-in-chief Franklin Foer would go the way of Dan Rather.
Michelle Malkin has complete coverage here. The good guys won this round, folks.
