The electorate’s ignorance of the constitution and what is really required to secure individual freedom explains why the Fed Government is able to terminate habeas corpus, confiscate property under Ricco laws without prove of a crime, tape a citizens phone and email, the IRS can confiscate property for assumed back taxes, etc all without due process. Does anyone realize that the government’s war on drugs has led to the destruction of many constitutional protections and the incarceration of hundred of thousands of African American men who would otherwise not have a criminal record? And that Ron Paul wants to change this?
