Crush Liberalism

Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Brits: Hey, let’s not say “mother” and “father” in school, m’kay?

Euros have decided it’s both presumptuous and offensive to attribute two heterosexual parents to a schoolchild…even if 99% of them do indeed have a mother and father.  From the UK:

Teachers should not assume that their pupils have a “mum and dad” under guidance aimed at tackling anti-gay bullying in schools.

It says primary pupils as young as four should be familiarised with the idea of same-sex couples to help combat homophobic attitudes.

Teachers should attempt to avoid assumptions that pupils will have a conventional family background, it urges.

It goes on to suggest the word “parents” may be more appropriate than “mum and dad”, particularly in letters and emails to the child’s home.

Well, we’d certainly hate for Little Nigel’s fathers to get their #ssless chaps in a bunch, now wouldn’t we?  Why, if Little Jane’s mommies get word that “parents” was used in school, they’d have her out of there lickety split!

Thanks to PabloD for the tip.

Bubba: Wreck the economy for Mother Gaia

If you ever needed proof that the global “warming” crowd was championed by anti-capitalists (among other miscreants), then look no further than the former Diddler-in-Chief:

Bill: “We Just Have to Slow Down Our Economy” to Fight Global Warming

Former President Bill Clinton was in Denver, Colorado, stumping for his wife yesterday.

In a long, and interesting speech, he characterized what the U.S. and other industrialized nations need to do to combat global warming this way: “We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions ’cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren.”

At a time that the nation is worried about a recession is that really the characterization his wife would want him making? “Slow down our economy”?

Exit question: Does his wife really want him saying stuff like this, tipping off the “great unwashed” to their leftist schemes while she’s trying to con America into voting for her Marxist #ss?

CNN: Pity the unemployed who buy big TV’s

Personal responsibility has never been a priority for the left, and the Clinton News Network illustrates it thusly:

CNN’s January 30 “American Morning” mentioned retailers were cutting prices to get customers to purchase more, but no one during the broadcast had a problem with one unemployed woman buying one of those fancy televisions.

“Veronica McNeil has two kids,” said Cho. “She recently lost her job. Her husband’s an ironworker and the family is feeling the pinch.”

McNeil revealed that a good discount would be her weakness.

“If I’m here to buy baby stuff and I see a TV at a good sale price, I’ll grab it,” McNeil said.

Cho pointed toward “rising gas and home heating oil prices and Americans losing their homes” for money being “tight.” Personal responsibility and wise financial decisions were lost on Cho.

Sometimes, words are unnecessary to point out the lunacy of the left.
