Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Bubba: Wreck the economy for Mother Gaia

If you ever needed proof that the global “warming” crowd was championed by anti-capitalists (among other miscreants), then look no further than the former Diddler-in-Chief:

Bill: “We Just Have to Slow Down Our Economy” to Fight Global Warming

Former President Bill Clinton was in Denver, Colorado, stumping for his wife yesterday.

In a long, and interesting speech, he characterized what the U.S. and other industrialized nations need to do to combat global warming this way: “We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions ’cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren.”

At a time that the nation is worried about a recession is that really the characterization his wife would want him making? “Slow down our economy”?

Exit question: Does his wife really want him saying stuff like this, tipping off the “great unwashed” to their leftist schemes while she’s trying to con America into voting for her Marxist #ss?

  1. I think he goofed on this one–what he meant to say is, “To save our environment for our grandchildren we need to increase taxes and take all private industry and give it to the Government to run–except McDonalds–I love that company.”

  2. This could all be avoided if China and India were required to abide by the same rules we would have had to if we had signed the Kyoto feel good paper. That would put a damper on their economies by forcing them to install and use emissions and environmental equipment. That would probably lift our economy because it seems NO ONE ELSE in the world makes or uses the crap other than us.

  3. China and India are in our 19th century phase where we didn’t care about air/water pollution either. However, they have less excuse because the cleaner technologies are available to them now. I’ve read about hellish landscapes in China where all the river are 100% toxic and the air is black with soot. nightmarish stuff.
