Top 10 miserable cities are liberal
Forbes has a Top 10 Most Miserable Cities list. Here they are:
1. Detroit, MI
2. Stockton, CA
3. Flint, MI
4. New York City
5. Philadelphia, PA
6. Chicago, IL
7. Los Angeles, CA
8. Modesto, CA
9. Charlotte, NC
10. Providence, RI
Notice one thing in common? They’re all predominantly Big Government liberal cities, and with the exception of NC, the other nine states are liberal states. No wonder the left wants those of us in normal America to adopt their failed policies: misery loves company.

Liberalism is freedom to be yourself. Do you like to be judged, ridiculed, discriminated against? Like I could call you a thick-headed, right-wing, republican-loving, uptight jackass and you wouldn’t like it, would you?
death to republicans!!!

Liberalism is freedom to be yourself.
Bull$hit. Any time a minority “freely” expresses a right-of-center point of view, you liberals are all over them like Ted Kennedrunk on a brandy snifter.
Do you like to be judged, ridiculed, discriminated against?
Nope…that’s why I oppose affirmative action, which (except for the ridicule) does those things.
Like I could call you a thick-headed, right-wing, republican-loving, uptight jackass and you wouldn’t like it, would you?
Hey…I’m not uptight!
death to republicans!!!
Ah, the “peaceful, tolerant” liberal rides again. You seem pretty miserable…thus proving the point of the post. Nice job, ditz.

Pretty twisted view on reality. Also take a look at cities considered to be the most literate and have the highest quality of life. Seattle, Portland Or, San Jose/Silicon Valley are all very liberal.
I really get tired of people jumping on to one side or the other (labled liberal/democrat and conservative/republican) No one has the balls to think for themselves and have thier own identity. People need to agree to disagree and then get together and go fishing with our families. Or get together and coach or kids ball teams. Don’t let politics and government ruin our personal lives and communites. Plenty of blame on both sides. Less polution is a no brainer unless you personally enjoy your children breathing poisonous air or having medical issues due to contaminated ground water. Gay marriage and civil unions? I woke up this morning and guess what, nothing in my life changed. Gays are getting married. Good for them. I still had to go to work and mow the lawn this afternoon.
I’ve worked for both the private and public sectors. The real problem with the government is ineffeciency, waste and no accountability. (organized labor has a hand in this) I constantly remind folks that the DMV isn’t the only government agency that runs that way.
In addition, the government has no right to tell me what I can or cannot have in my gun collection as much as what I do behind closed doors with my wife, partner or otherwise. Their job shouldn’t be putting up protective trade policies to protect our union (inefficient) labor force which only ends up hurting us in the end when we can’t compete in a global economy.
A friend of mine mentioned that labor unions are good in some circumstances where the work is dangerous like a dock worker. Hey, no one forced you to be a dock worker. If you don’t like the way you’re being treated, quit and work for someone else. The last time I checked, this was still America and you are free to work wherever you please. Ever watch deadliest catch? Growing up in Seattle, I knew crab fisherman who were there because they wanted to be there. They made good money. You be responsible for your own life, not some union or the government.
We (both sides) need to work on making America better. Anytime we have another person who can read and write and knows basic math and science in America, the better we are as a nation. Individuals become less of a burden on society from social welfare to prisons. I’m for free education, school uniforms, 2 free meals a day (if you are poor) and healthcare for any child under 18. Remember, no child chooses to be born into an impoverished life. Also, sex education to youngsters so they don’t get knocked up and dependent on the government system which is broken.
Once your 18, you are cut off. You should of had college prep or voc ed your last 2 years of high school. Go out and work or go to college. If you can’t support yourself, go into the armed services for 4 years or some program like the peace corps or habitat for humanity. None of this welfare, foodstamps, or other ineffecient government social program out there. Be responsible for yourself and don’t depend on a failed system.
Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of hapiness.

I guess the truth just hurts sometimes. The tired old liberal hypocrite argument. Don’t judge me? By evaluating economic statistics? Of course you don’t want liberalism to be judged! It does NOT work! And then the resort to name calling. Beautiful. You make it too easy to win the argument.
With regards to the places with the “highest quality of life”…. I guess it depends on who is judging. You could not pay me enough to live in California. It is a beautiful place, but the management is horrendous. People also have a very warped sense of freedom these days. They forget that the freedom to misbehave and violate common rules of decency can work both ways. If you really think about it, is a lawless society really what you desire?
