As far as I know. I was born outside the continental USA on a Naval Base. At least that is what I told the *bleep at the DMV. I raised nine kinds of hell. I thought I had all the necessary docs. Though she insisted I needed a signed letter from the Commanding officer. Which I did not have. Anyone hear of that? I have the original now, my Mom dug it up for me.

Once I was done with her I went to the DMV in a nearby town and was treated very well. The woman there did not even bring it up.

Y’all are just wrong-thinking. Always remember and never forget; the leftards think that anyone in the military is, AT BEST, a second class citizen that shouldn’t even have their votes count if they aren’t in the States. (Witness the Florida maneuvering in 2000 when the Dems filed motions to have felons get to vote but tried to not count votes from the troops because they didn’t have postmarks from their battlefields…)

Yepper, that STILL pisses me off.

Bad – I always thought so. I was born in a military hospital outside the continental US…. I’d hate to find out now that I’m really an illegal!!!! Yikes!

A caller to the Dennis Prager show this morning explained that while her parents elected to give birth to her in the city of Panama – requiring her to apply for citizenship – her friends who were born in the Canal Zone (like John McCain) were NOT required to apply for citizenship as they were considered natural born citizens.

Just thought I’d throw that in there.

“Of course, this information just now came to light, never mind the fact the dude has been around for 70+ years and that the NYT endorsed him in the primaries. If this isn’t desparation from a hopelessly leftist rag that was once a semi-respected news outlet, then Obama is a proud member of the NRA.”

The 1790 law aside, aren’t military bases and consulates considered to be “American soil”? When the NYT ran the first smear-job, I thought to myself, “Self, they can’t go any lower than that.” I stand corrected.

I’m no fan of John McCain, but for ANYONE to question this man’s eligibility to be President of this country is an outrage! He has more than proven his allegiance to this country, which is more than I can say for his opponents. This is dirty politics at its lowest!
