NYT puts out another anti-McCain innuendo-based smear piece

Page one, no less.  And from the same guy (Jim Rutenberg) that wrote the last piece that was so tabloidesque that the NYT’s own ombudsman said it never should have run.  But the Old Gray Hag is just being the Old Gray Hag, and some partisan hack fishwraps never learn, do they?  No wonder they’re in dire financial straits!

Anywho, the story is here.  In a nutshell, the Hag tries to insinuate that McCain doled out some legislative goodies to a rich real estate mogul in the form of questionable land deals.  It’s a darned shame the smear job never alludes to the support that said land deals got from the treehuggers, other legislators, and other businesspeople.  Widespread support?  Nah…let’s just focus on McCain!

Also, one has to wonder why, since Rutenberg is all interested in shady land deals and stuff, we never read anything like this from his desk a couple of years ago when Harry “Land Shark” Reid was benefiting from land deals that he specifically and personally sponsored!  Reid and his family got a boatload of cash from selling the federally-owned land, but Rutenberg’s interest in crooked land deals is either much more recent or, dare I say it, limited only to Republicans?  I know, I know…that would imply a lack of journalistic ethics and integrity! 

Nope…no liberal media bias!
