Hope for the Brits

The UK just booted the dhimmi mayor of London, “Red” Ken Livingstone, and elected a conservative, Boris Johnson. From the Beeb:

Boris Johnson has won the race to become the next mayor of London – ending Ken Livingstone’s eight-year reign at City Hall.

The Conservative candidate won with 1,168,738 first and second preference votes, compared with Mr Livingstone’s 1,028,966 on a record turnout of 45%.

In a message that American liberals should (but won’t) take to heart…:

However, Justice Secretary Jack Straw said Labour as a whole should shoulder the blame for Mr Livingstone’s loss.
…
Mr Straw admitted that the row over the 10p tax rate had left some voters “understandably very upset”.

WHAT?? Increased taxes don’t resonate with the electorate? Who knew?

Hopefully, Johnson will lead London away from its fatal politically correct dhimmitude and oppressive tax policies Time will tell.

There are predictions that the Labour party is in danger of imploding in the next election unless something happens. Brown is not as popular as Blair was and the Labour party is seriously split on the war. Since the party has been so Wishy Washy on the war, many in Labour who support the war, (the Majority of Britton’s) have flocked to the Torie Party, and the moonbat lefties have moved to the Social Democrat cause.

A good example of Mr. Meaggi’s lesson…
Walk on one side, safe. Walk on the other side, safe. Walk down the middle, squish like grape.

I am a small-government social and fiscal conservative who values life, liberty, and property…AND ACCOUNTABILITY!

Modern liberalism is an evil, vile scourge on society that must be rendered impotent. This ideology has proven to be a demonstrable failure and incredibly harmful when administered on the body politic. That is why Normal America rejects it, and why most liberal politicians deny their liberal bent: they know that Normal America wants no part of it. The election of 2010 was irrefutable proof of that.

Deal with it, or beat it. You’re free to start your own blog with your own rules. WordPress charges nothing, and free seems to be a price that liberals can appreciate.

Finally, I had a happy childhood, so my worldview has NOT been “warped” by a lousy upbringing. Quite the contrary: I have been blessed, and my outlook has been molded accordingly. I won’t apologize for having grown up in a loving, middle-class family.
