While we were bombarded by the media with images of Obama’s rock-star appearance, they fudged a couple of important details.

The New York Times showed the photo and noted that this was Obama’s “largest crowd of his campaign so far”. They also described the weather as, “unseasonably hot”.

CNN headlined, “Barack Obama: Achieving Rock Star Status in Oregon”

However, Obama’s adoring media failed to mention that the weather was pleasant and there were actual rock stars there performing a free 45-minute concert prior to Messiah taking the stage.
