5. Steve – I sometimes wonder if that won’t happen. Christianity has been attacked in this country, but it’s been a protracted battle in the courts and classrooms, not in the streets. It’s more of a war of attrition than a blitzkrieg. Nonetheless, who knows if there will be a tipping point at which the “silent majority” and affiliated folks decide that enough is enough and they take to the streets. Maybe not a full scale revolt, but at least a strong enough public demonstration that politicians can’t ignore.

6. was that picture released by the Obama champaign? because I’m sure you noticed the “halo” in the picture is the Obama logo “the stars and stripes sunrise” only out of focus. I mean, this kind of picture is kinda bad for Obama BECAUSE fox news keeps running stories about how his supporters think he’s the messiah (all false, I’d point out). It’s also kinda ironic when you look at the whole “messiah” image that the right associates with him in conjunction with the other right wing rumor that he’s muslim.

   but seriously, what’s the origin of this photo? I’d just as soon think it was a right wing journalist who saw the opportunity to take a picture of Obama with a halo to fuel the “messiah” image.

9. oh my god, let me dumb down the question so crush can understand it. is the SOURCE of the picture the Obama champain? is it reuters itself? was it a right wing “journalist” playing to the paranoid “Obama as Messiah” narrative.
