Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Quote of the day

By Allahpundit, regarding the left’s take on the the surge in Iraq:

Things are getting better, so by all means let’s get the hell out before they get better still and people start jumping to unhelpful conclusions about the left’s judgment of Iraq’s prospects being also less than infallible.

Heh.

  2. Yes, by all means we should leave Iraq now – who cares if we are capturing key leaders that will no doubt provide essential intelligence in this Edwards-dubbed “bumper-sticker war”? Don’t you all know that we are less safe now? B. Hussein said so, and The Halo never lies…

  3. important fact about fighting terrorism: terrorists intentionally keep their networks extremely compartmentalized so that any individual being captured would not do great harm to the organization as a whole. this is why there is no such thing as a “key” terrorist leader, not even Bin Laden is key.

another important face: overt military actions do not destroy terrorist networks, counter-terrorism (I say again) is the job of the intelligence agencies. when you use an invasion to fight terrorism, all that happens is that the people in the middle east hear news of christians killing muslims and they get mad, and some of them who otherwise would have stayed at home, decide to wage jihad instead.

the reason Iraq is going better: we’re using the superior counter-insurgency tactics of general petraeus, the Iraqis themselves are sick of Al Qaeda, and Iran (for whatever reason) seems to be cutting us a break (probably made a deal with Al Malaki).

so we’re winning, yay, now all you need to do is convince the famalies of the dead that it was worth it.

andrew, you’re such an ass! You probably don’t even KNOW a military family. If you did, you would understand their dedication and love for this country. But love of country is something you whiney-ass liberals can’t seem to wrap your pea brains around!

  5. yes, i’m sure that for every military family that hates the war and the president that ordered it, there is another family which clings to it’s patriotism in a desperate attempt to find meaning in the meaningless death of their loved one.

as you think of your response, picture the weeping widow, lamenting that her husbands enlistment of “one weekend a month, two weeks a year” got him killed by a president that doesn’t seem at all to care. and ask yourself, “why don’t my ‘family values’ apply to the dead soldier’s now fatherless children?”

and Dick Cheney’s response to the news that 4000 americans had died in Iraq was one word: “So?”

I’m done waxing poetic, think and say whatever you want to in your bankrupt morality as you talk about the “Necessity” or this war.

  6. andrew, I repeat….you are an ASS! I doubt you even KNOW a military family and you’re an arrogant jerk to try to pin your liberal crap on them!

picture the weeping widow, lamenting that her husbands enlistment of “one weekend a month, two weeks a year” got him killed by a president that doesn’t seem at all to care

Spare us your pathetic theatrics andrew. The key word here is “enlistment” (a concept I’m certain a spineless coward like you cannot possibly comprehend). No one was forced to join the military and everyone who joins understands the risks. Whiney assed liberals like you will NEVER understand that kind of dedication and love of country, so just put a sock in it. You have no idea what you’re saying.

As for the President not seeming to care….that’s just pure horsesh#t!!! I’ve seen the man weep over soldiers who have died. When was the last time you wept for a fallen soldier?

    I’m done waxing poetic

Don’t flatter yourself…..you’re not poetic, you’re a moron. And YES you ARE DONE…thanks to Crush for sparing us all the moonbat guano you’ve been spewing. I hope you wear your asshat proudly. Good riddance!
