Like you, I am not sold on the Silky Pony lovechild story. That’s one reason I haven’t posted anything about it in any kind of detail.

However, I do find it beyond amusing that the NYT ignores that story (which is rife with innuendo and devoid of a smoking gun) but ran the McCain-lobbyist story (which is rife with innuendo and devoid of a smoking gun).

No doubt that, as they have before, the exact set of circumstances with a Republican would have produced a media firestorm that would have put the Foley coverage to shame.
