DC gets sued for violating Second Amendment…by the same guy…again
Those idiots in our nation’s capital (not Congress, but the D.C. Council and Mayor) are doing their best to ignore the Supreme Court’s ruling that the Second Amendment guarantees our right to keep and bear arms. DC must be spoiling for a fight, since Dick Heller (the winner in the SCOTUS case) applied for his handgun permit in DC after the ruling, and DC denied his application.
DC decided to comply with the SCOTUS ruling by…implementing measures that essentially ignore the ruling. They knew this lawsuit was coming, which means that they are perfectly willing to spend millions of taxpayer dollars in legal fees fighting a battle that they know damned well they aren’t going to win.
Maybe D.C. Councilman and former mayor Marion Barry has sold some of his crack to his colleagues. How else can one explain such lunacy?

Ah, the wonderful dream-world of liberals. Supreme Court rulings are held most sacred – except when they don’t like them.

GD SONS OF MOTHERLESS GOATS!!!!!!

Hey, why should they care? It’s only taxpayer money.
What we need is a resolution that allows someone to PERSONALLY sue the city councilmen for damages.
By the way, just so we’re clear on this. My family is under standing orders to level a lawsuit at any place that disarms me (school, shopping mall, etc) if there is ever an active shooter on premises and I’m killed or injured as a result because I can’t defend myself.
If someone disarms you for ANY reason, including condition of employment, they are responsible to provide for your personal defense. Washington DC has an average police response time of 21 minutes.
Even Fat Freddy can stab someone and WALK more than a mile in 21 minutes. Exactly how are the police going to protect you?
Guns don’t kill people. Idiots do.

So True

What did you expect from a city that defines a semi-automatic pistol with a magazine capacity of 13 or more rounds as a “machine gun”? It’s the same city that defined a crack-smoking, race-hustling reprobate as a “mayor”.
AngryD, I like your suggestion of having family members launch a lawsuit if I’m ever killed in a “self-defense free zone” like a college campus. I think I’ll spread the idea.

Their loss in the next case is not certain. It’s going to take a while to get another case to SOTUS, and they hope for the death or incapacitation of a conservative judge.

Time for those stuffed shirts in WASHINGTON D.C.(DISCTRICT of CRINIMALS) to know were not living in a monarcy and their not futal lords and that means they ether abide by the constitution as the founding fathers wrote it or just step down and leave america forever
