Obama hires young white woman singer to do his campaign song
She’s a Euro, too. But hey, don’t go accusing The One of being some Euro-kowtowing “merci beaucoup” effete elitist or anything. Dude, this mockery pretty much writes itself. From Exurban League:
Joss Stone is set to write and record a campaign song for US Democrat presidential hopeful Barack Obama.
According to The Sun, Stone was asked personally by Obama to write and record the song, which will be the theme song for his election campaign.
Obama is said to favour Stone, a huge star in the USA (she is?! — Ed.), because she has appeal to both black and white US citizens.
The newspaper quotes an anonymous source as saying: “She [Stone] believes he (Obama) is going to be the first black president and she is honoured to be a part of that.”
Barry, Barry, Barry, what are you doing to us? At least make us work to make fun of your campaign; at this point it’s self-satirizing.
I’m surprised you even need a new theme song — I had thought the “Hallelujah chorus” was sufficient. Nevertheless, here are three quick reasons to back off this plan:
1) You can’t keep surrounding yourself with dippy young celebutantes. Even if they’re kinda hot.
2) Joss Stone is British. You couldn’t find an American singer? Well, someone other than Luda.
3) She’s a white female and associating her with your campaign is totally racist. Everyone knows that.
Heh.
Can this Plame b#tch finally go away now?
Plame’s bovine feces lawsuit against Darth Cheney and his Bu$hitler McRummyburton minions in the administration (a little moonbat-ese for our leftist visitors to feel right at home for the duration of this post) was tossed. It seems that sharing the name of a non-covert agent whose husband had already put her name and identity out there for the whole world to see isn’t a crime…go figure.
Merry Fitzmas, moonbats!
Obama locks up the Godless constituency
Details here. What an honor, huh? Oh, well, I know a few atheists who aren’t that enamored with the Obamessiah.
Dem surprised that Obama is arrogant
What tipped you off, Sherlock? From SF:
[Dem Delegate Garry] Mauro said that because it was such a closely contested election, he is mystified as to why the Obama campaign is resisting and even balking at a roll-call vote, according to some reports.
“Are these folks so new to politics, are they so arrogant, that they think he’s different from every other nominee we’ve ever had?” he asks.
Um…yeah. Yeah, he does think he’s that different. In case you missed the primaries, pal, that was his selling point (since he had no record on which to sell himself): “Vote for me, ‘cuz I’m different.” Granted, he’s not that differnt of a Dem nominee: he’s a lying, opportunistic, arrogant, Marxist cretin. But dude, where have you been this whole campaign cycle?
Possible Obama VP: Obama stopped the war in Georgia
Jawdropping assertion of the day, from Gov. Tim Kaine (D-VA), a man rumored to be on the Obamoron’s short list of VP’s:
It was a bad crisis for the world. It required tough words but also a smart approach to call on the international community to step in. And I’m very, very happy that the Senator’s request for a ceasefire has been complied with by President Medvedev.
Oh. My. God (insert leftist deity of preference here).
If I’m to understand Gov. Kaine correctly, Pooty-Poot and Medvedev decided to ignore President Bush, Juanny Mac, the Frogs, the Krauts, and likely the UN, but decided to act post haste when an obscure, inexperienced, wishy-washy, pansy #ss elitist junior Senator from IL requested (after botching his first two statements on the matter) the Russkies to back off? Dude, that ranks right up there with the Goron claiming to have invented the Internet!
Besides, I don’t know how to break it to the Obamaphiles out there, but the fighting is still going on. Ergo, the Obamessiah stopped nothing. So, here’s my exit (albeit rhetorical) question: If the Obamaphiles were willing to credit him for stopping the conflict in Georgia, then since the conflict hasn’t stopped, are they willing to credit The One with “failed diplomacy”?
Obama’s Exxon hypocrisy
The Obamaliar is running a new ad referring to McCain as “Exxon John”. Cheeky, no? There’s just one small, itty-bitty, teensie-weensie little problem with that line of attack: it’s not McCain that’s received more money from Exxon!
But hey, why let a little thing like facts get in the way of a good attack ad? Obooby has gotten this far in life without the need for facts, decency, honesty, or consistency, so why start now?

Problems with the income tax system
Those of you who have been here long enough know that I am a strong supporter of the FairTax. The current income tax system is punitive, complex, and subject to the manipulative whims of legislators who use the system to curry favors with the electorate. An exemption here, a loophole there, and Congressman Slickpalm gets to brag to his pet constituents how he is helping them out. The FairTax would empower people over government, and that’s why Congress has fought the idea more than Ted Kennedy fights sobriety.
Anywho, here are two more reasons to support the FairTax:
- The Obamessiah has decided that seniors ought not pay any income tax at all. Apparently, merely being old is grounds to avoid supporting your government. Leave it to all us whippersnappers to support your old behind.
- A new study shows that most companies avoid paying income taxes. Aside from the obvious fact that companies don’t pay taxes (they merely collect them from everyone else), what this shows is that money that could be flowing through our own economy’s veins (and into government coffers) is instead propping up other countries’ economies. When you punish success, success looks elsewhere.
The FairTax would strengthen our dollar, put more money in everyone’s pockets, create so many jobs you could shake a stick at (relax, liberals…no one’s going to force you to get a job!), bring back hundreds of billions of Americans’ dollars that are currently in other countries (or offshore accounts, to avoid our punitive tax structure), invite foreign investors to sink their money into our new tax sheltering economy, result in more productive activity…all of which would result in not just raising others’ standards of living, but ultimately increasing revenue coming into the federal government.
Republican legislators oppose the FairTax because it takes away their power. Democrat legislators oppose it for the same reason, plus it obliterates their ability to wage class warfare on the great unwashed. H.R. 25 (the FairTax bill) has well over 100 House co-sponsors, but it needs more. Considering that this was once but a blip on the radar screen, and now has seen the book The FairTax shoot to #1 on the NYT Best Seller list, the chances are getting better of its passage…even if it years away from happening.
