I’m busier than Barry O trying to refine his Iraq or Georgia policy, so feel free to discuss whatever you like. You can also leave me tips on stories to blog about. Talk amongst yourselves.

Pelosi
Stories are beginning to surface the the queen B**** has financial interests in T Boone Picken’s wind power plan. If this were to be proven true (I would not doubt it at all) one must wonder if this has been forming her policy toward drilling to ensure personal gain.

DJ – I saw this story yesterday too. I’d like to know how in the hell it’s NOT a ginormous conflict of interest to have a lawmaker investing in that company.

It makes sense to me for someone to invest in things like wind and solar power regardless of their career. How many things can you count on to do so well as renewable energy resources?
Don’t get me wrong, I think Pelosi stands for all that is bad in America, but it does not seem bad to invest in wind energy. If she lets her investments take priority over what she should be doing for the American citizens, then I would be upset too. As far as energy goes, what democrats do make sense? I mean Obama wants to have all those electric cars, but where in the hell are those cars going to get feasible electricity to run off of if we can’t use nuclear, oil, or coal. You cannot tell me that solar and wind (etc.) are going to make much of a dent into our electricity consumption in the next several years.

Good points but there won’t be any stories because the MSM won’t allow it. Only democrats are allowed to ask for investigations anyway.

Wait a second. If she want T Boone’s plan to work (make money for her) it requires large amounts of natural gas. Where does she think natural gas comes from ? Her mouth?
Comment by WMD_Maker | August 14, 2008
I’m all in favor of renewable energy sources, but as far as I’ve read, the Danes are the world leader in wind power and have been for over two hundred years– and even they can only get about 15% of their power needs from it. It’s simply NOT practical.
I have a natural stream on my property, and I looked into putting in a water turbine. Anyone got a spare $86,000 floating around? Oh, and that’s if I DON’T get the EPA study, without which Gregoire’s cronies can kick me off of my own property. That’s another $1,200.
To get, are you ready for this? 500w base chargin capacity. In other words, it would take about 167 years to pay for the installation of a water turbine on my property by generating electricity with it and cutting my power bill.
Like so many great ideas throughout history this has to be discarded because, sadly, it just won’t work.

Nasty Pelosi in bed with T Bone Pickin’s………………What a team!
I wish he had those whirlygigs up his butt, on top of being ugly how about this scenario, hot as hell, wind lays down for a few days, everyone needing more electricity for A/C and the blades are standing still. Solution, more nukes. They are not pretty but not near as unattractive as having wind turbines by the thousands from Texas to North Dakota.

Random, the problem is not in Joe Average Citizen investing in renewable energy. The problem is having a lawmaker investing in a company that she can manipulate and profit from by way of her role in Congress.
