Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Resumés: Obama vs. Thomas

More on Obama’s “not experienced” gaffe on Justice Clarence Thomas, via the WSJ:

So let’s see. By the time he was nominated, Clarence Thomas had worked in the Missouri Attorney General’s office, served as an Assistant Secretary of Education, run the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and sat for a year on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, the nation’s second most prominent court. Since his “elevation” to the High Court in 1991, he has also shown himself to be a principled and scholarly jurist.

Meanwhile, as he bids to be America’s Commander in Chief, Mr. Obama isn’t yet four years out of the Illinois state Senate, has never held a hearing of note of his U.S. Senate subcommittee, and had an unremarkable record as both a “community organizer” and law school lecturer. Justice Thomas’s judicial credentials compare favorably to Mr. Obama’s Presidential résumé by any measure. And when it comes to rising from difficult circumstances, Justice Thomas’s rural Georgian upbringing makes Mr. Obama’s story look like easy street.

So why won’t The One do more unscripted events?

So much for civility in politics and bringing people together. And no wonder Mr. Obama’s advisers have refused invitations for more such open forums, preferring to keep him in front of a teleprompter, where he won’t let slip what he really believes.

Who knew the Obamessiah could be such a phony?  For those of you on the left, that question was both sarcastic and rhetorical.

  1. Everyone knows he’s a phony and has been caught in many lies/misstatements, but I’m afraid all that doesn’t matter to his followers. Too many leftists want to say they voted in the first black, not African American because he isn’t, president.
I watched the Fox interview saturday night and must say that I’ve NEVER been a McCain fan……….until now! McCain really impressed me with his forthright answers. Osama never answered a single question in 100 words or less.

I agree tnjack! I’ve not been McCain’s greatest fan, but I have tremendous admiration for the man for being so straightforward in his beliefs. Obama was just twisting in the wind, trying to figure out how to answer in front of a Christian crowd, without alienating his ultra-liberal base.

McCain has made tremendous sacrifices for this country and for his fellow soldiers and would obviously do it again in a heartbeat. Meanwhile, Obama has done nothing but WHINE incessantly about how bad America has been to him and the rest of the world. Mr. “Citizen of the World” would be better suited to working for the UN, than presiding over this great country!

  3. Obama’s childhood upringing in Hawaii is almost British Royal-like compared to Thomas’ childhood in Jim Crow-era rural Georgia.

Obama is an elitist fraud. A majority of Americans would know that if they didn’t get 90 percent of their information ’bout politics from the mainstream media … most of the members of which are elitist frauds.

    So there.

Obama attended Punahou school in Hawaii, which is a private school. He can whine about his “humble background” all he wants, but I can assure you that Punahou is not the school the poor Hawaiian kids went to.
