CNN: Why is Palin running for VP when she has a kid with Down’s Syndrome?
Apparently, only frumpy liberal women are allowed to have careers. Conservative women are expected to have the man’s dinner ready when he walks in the door. From Newsbusters:
CNN’s John Roberts, after briefly alluding to the issue of Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin’s experience he called into question earlier on Friday’s “Newsroom” program, asked correspondent Dana Bash about how the Alaska governor’s newborn son with Down’s syndrome might be affected if she were elected: “There’s also this issue that on April 18th, she gave birth to a baby with Down’s Syndrome…. Children with Down’s syndrome require an awful lot of attention. The role of Vice President, it seems to me, would take up an awful lot of her time, and it raises the issue of how much time will she have to dedicate to her newborn child?”
At least she didn’t abort her child when she discovered he would have Down’s Syndrome. Memo to the Obamination: yes, it IS too late to abort him now.
Nope…no liberal media bias.

.. Memo to the Obamination: yes, it IS too late to abort him now…
Zing! pow!
It didn’t take long for the long knives to come out against this woman. Have they called her Hitler yet?
Comment by A.C. McCloud | August 29, 2008
At least the Republican ticket makes sense:
-Experienced President & Less Experienced VP.
The Democratic ticket makes far less sense:
-Less Experienced President & Experienced VP.
One could even make the argument that Palin brings more experience in some areas (e.g. Executive) than any of the other members on the ballot(including McCain).
Furthermore, Palin is a real American. Obama does not understand me. Obama has never had a real job in his life (a short time as a secretary and a little work as a lawyer helping Rezko). The rest of his life has been spent in school and politics. Palin is married to a working man who is part of a steel-workers union. Palin might just be Obama’s reality check!

Oh yeah…
Palin somehow made time to visit the injured soldiers in Germany that Obama had to miss so he could chill with his fans. At least Palin has her priorities right.
As to the issue at hand: Palin has done well running a state and taking care of things at home. Far less can be said of liberals like John Edwards.

The more I watch the media and Obama’s campaign drive themselves crazier trying to figure out how to react to this (and getting it wrong), the more I am convivned this pick was a stroke of pure genius.
Comment by The Truth Hurts | August 29, 2008
Ummm, maybe it make her EVEN A BETTER CANDIDATE, know what really goes on with a “special needs child.”
And maaaayyyyybbbee, she will do her best to give her all for the country AND THE CHILD SHE CHOSE NOT TO KILL!!!!
Ball in your court, bitch boy Obama.

I’ve wanted her for the pick for some time, mainly because she had no negatives. And my husband said “wow, she’s really pretty; any man can see beyond the glasses & the hair bun”. what’s not to like? she will not hurt McCain. And campaigning against a really nice woman is very hard to do.
ha ha Osama!

A.C. McCloud stole my thunder. (get it?)
That last line really was a zinger!
I’m liking the Palin pick.
Comment by Henry | August 30, 2008
Misogynistic pigs. The whole lot of ‘em.
Comment by Jenn | August 31, 2008
I wish Palin was running for President and McCain was her vice president instead.
Though I guess McCain choosing Palin is the best decision he ever made!
