UPDATED: Obama administration thought it would be a great photo-op to send low-flying planes over NYC
UPDATES BELOW.
As sheer luck would have it, the citizens of the Big Apple panicked when the B.O. photo op’s targets flew low over their city. Who knew?
It’s as if something involving low-flying planes and big buildings happened there almost eight years ago. Or something. For those of you on the left, feel free to Google “9/11/2001″. It was kind of a big deal and stuff.
Smooth move, Ex Lax.
UPDATE (04/29/2009 – 08:18 A.M. EST): It appears that the FAA knew ahead of time that this $329,000 stunt would cause a public panic…and they threatened NYPD and the mayor’s office with federal sanctions if they gave New Yorkers a heads-up:
Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and Air Force One to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a 9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the public.
In a memo obtained by CBS 2 HD the Federal Aviation Administration’s James Johnston said the agency was aware of “the possibility of public concern regarding DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft flying at low altitudes” in an around New York City. But they demanded total secrecy from the NYPD, the Secret Service, the FBI and even the mayor’s office and threatened federal sanctions if the secret got out…

The guy has no filter when it comes to common sense.
And I’m wondering just how much that little photo op cost the taxpayers.

Good question KG. I’m wondering who all was involved in the planning of this fiasco and how many more times will the American people be exposed to the complete lack of common sense this administration demonstrates?
I wonder how the media would have reacted if the Bush White House had done something so stupid?

tnjack, if Bush had committed this act of idiocy, the MSM would be showing the video of people running for cover 24/7, with superimposed video of the towers exploding. But since it’s the faux messiah….it’s just swept under the rug. Can’t criticize “The One”.

Supposed;y Obama didnt have a clue (DUH) about this.
But the white house military advisor did and recieved a “severe tongue lashing”. But this guy STILL HAS HIS JOB. I guess Obama cant find someone near dumb ( or criminal) enough to take his place.

Supposedly, Obama didnt have a clue
Seems to be a recurring theme….
Comment by Kanaka Girl | April 28, 2009
You’re right KG. It should be the catch phrase under his presidential portrait….”He Didn’t Have A Clue…….”

I wonder who Obama is going to make fall on the sword for this one. It’s unfathomable that he didn’t know about this. It’s nice to know he’s putting our unconstitutionally confiscated tax dollars to good use though. Heh!

The Mayor’s office?!? I thought Bloomberg was in a tizzy over no knowing about it. Hmmm…

Bull Puckey! Obama knew, the guy was a WHITE HOUSE LIAISON. We all know how King Hussein is about his photo ops. One of the videos that I have up at my sight actually made me almost throw up, the sheer panic you could hear in the people’s voices as they ran. Bastard, him and his entire administration. And Arlen Specter too.

Hey hey! I didn’t know you were back on the air. Glad I thought to check your blog just for old time’s sake.
The Lightworker’s 9/11 stunt really fried my grits this week. Hard to believe we’ve got someone so oblivious in the White House. So open toward dictators & communists, and so hostile toward Americans.
Comment by Reverse_Vampyr | April 29, 2009
This just further shows how disengaged from reality the left is. It’s like they try so hard to pretend 9-11 didn’t happen, so why should this cuase a panic?

RV, don’t you remember when I left a comment at your blog saying “I’m back”? I meant that I was back blogging (albeit on a more limited basis, see here, sixth paragraph), not just that I was back on your blog.
BTW, check your e-mail at your convenience.
