BREAKING: ABC to turn its programming over to Obama
No, this is NOT satire! This is Pravda materializing before our very eyes. From Drudge:
ABC TURNS PROGRAMMING OVER TO OBAMA; NEWS TO BE ANCHORED FROM INSIDE WHITE HOUSE
Tue Jun 16 2009 08:45:10 ETOn the night of June 24, the media and government become one, when ABC turns its programming over to President Obama and White House officials to push government run health care — a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!
Highlights on the agenda:
ABCNEWS anchor Charlie Gibson will deliver WORLD NEWS from the Blue Room of the White House.
The network plans a primetime special — ‘Prescription for America’ — originating from the East Room, exclude opposing voices on the debate.
MORE
Late Monday night, Republican National Committee Chief of Staff Ken McKay fired off a complaint to the head of ABCNEWS:
Dear Mr. Westin:
As the national debate on health care reform intensifies, I am deeply concerned and disappointed with ABC’s astonishing decision to exclude opposing voices on this critical issue on June 24, 2009. Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform “town hall” at the White House with President Barack Obama. In addition, according to an ABC News report, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, WORLD NEWS, NIGHTLINE and ABC’s web news “will all feature special programming on the president’s health care agenda.” This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president’s health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming.
Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party’s views to those of the President’s to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected. I believe that the President should have the ability to speak directly to the America people. However, I find it outrageous that ABC would prohibit our Party’s opposing thoughts and ideas from this national debate, which affects millions of ABC viewers.
In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this primetime infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime. The President has stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the Republican Party should be included in this primetime event, or the DNC should pay for your airtime.
Respectfully,
Ken McKay
Republican National Committee
Chief of Staff
Considering he was roundly booed by the AMA, it’s no wonder he wanted to seek friendlier climes in the MSM.
Exit question: Can you imagine the uproar if Bush had done this with Fox News?
Nope…no liberal media bias! Aw, they’re not even pretending anymore, are they?

If I wasn’t witnessing the hostile takeover of my country first hand, I would never have believed it could happen. Hail Comrades!
Comment by Kanaka Girl | June 16, 2009
I’ve said it before that this Annointed One has the state run media in his pocket and feels so powerful that he’s “not even pretending anymore”!
The RNC needs to find someone, anyone, who owns a set, to stand up and speak out against this assault on our constitution!
A friend told me many years ago that our Political Correctness movement could do more damage to this country than all the terrorist states in the world, and it seems to be coming true. It’s what gave us this president and we have to find a way to defeat it.

The one thing I have noticed the lefts talking heads on almost every issue they say there is a consensus on the issue (Health Care, the environment, the economy, the War…). They are trying to making it seem like the Republicans and other conservatives are just a few extremists on the fringes. These Democratic Spin Doctors are playing on group psychology to try to influence those on the fence on almost every issue to join their side. The MSM’s role in this brain washing of America is disturbing at best and treasonous at worst.

Now ABC will not a conservative group air a paid rebuttal to the Obamacare proposal. America get the KY ready. We are about to take it rough.

I’m afraid you’re right Steve. It looks like NBC will not be outdone though, so I think they’re going to get a room with Osama.

Weren’t the Dems in an uproar, even Senators threatening to revoke ABC’s FCC license, because ABC was going to broadcast a fictionalized account of the events leading up to 9-11?
Lo, not a peep from Schmucky Schumer on this blatant, one-sided misuse of ABC’s “public interest obligation… to serve the civic needs of a democracy by promoting an open and accurate discussion of political ideas and events.”
To paraphrase Schmucky, “That ABC would consider airing a program that could be construed as left-wing political propaganda on such a grave and important issue to our nation is a discredit to the legacy of honesty built at ABC by honorable individuals from David Brinkley to Peter Jennings.”

The one good thing re: Obama’s infomerical. No one watches ABC.

[...] I guess if NBC had delivered the ObamaCare infomercial like ABC did, they’d get better access. Although I am perplexed, considering that their sister station [...]
