Many on the right liken this situation to that of Poland in 1981. Iran is not Poland. There are completely different factors involved. Poland was virtually occupied by the Soviets in 1981 and were standing up to Polish puppets under the direction of Moscow. Reagan by encouraging the Solidarity movement in Poland was encouraging Poland to stand up against a virtual occupier. Poland was a Revolution. Iran is rebelling against their own. This is Civil War. It’s like someone making fun of your sibling. You can do it, but no one else better dare. Let the Iranians settle this without American involvement.
