Obama’s idea of “sacrifice”

Obamarx has told us on a number of occasions that we Americans need to “sacrifice” these days in order to make life better for each other and our offspring.  Well, it’s good to know that he is not immune to “sacrifice” himself, right?

Yeah…right:

President Barack Obama and his family plan to vacation next month on Martha’s Vineyard, Democratic sources said.

The trip has long been rumored on the island, where federal agents were reported to be checking out property last spring.

The plan puts the Obamas in one of America’s most diverse resort areas. The enclave of Oak Bluffs has long been a favorite vacation spot for the nation’s African-American elite.

Notes Slu:

I’m sensing a pattern here: your sacrifice makes the Obama’s indulgences possible. Keep up the good work, people. Obama’s expensive tastes are counting on you.

So…how’s your cake?

  2. Let’s try to avoid the nit-picking on stupid issues that bothered us all when the MSM and the moonbat blog-o-sphere did it with President Bush. There is much more meat to feed upon with Obama rather than where he takes a so called vacation, that by the way truly does not exist for sitting presidents. Conservatives will win the debate in the long run by not getting into the mud and sticking to the core values, because the facts are on our side.

  3. Steve, I don’t give a hoot that the guy is taking a vacation. And I don’t care that it’s Martha’s Vineyard per se. I’m just miffed that for all the talk of “sacrifice”, his Klingon spouse is adorned with six-figure jewelry and they’re taking expensive jaunts while demanding the rest of us pony up.

    I don’t do hypocrisy well.

  4. My point is Obama has to pay increased taxes and sacrifice just like the rest of us. If after the sacrifice he can afford going to Martha’s Vineyard and buy his wife Jewelry, good for him. I can’t afford it, but I’m not a Lawyer making millions and I’m not as adept at manipulating the system to get perks like he is. That’s my choice to live the life I live. When Obama stops paying taxes, or if he pays taxes at a lesser rate than he’s supposed to at his income level, then He’s not sacrificing like the rest of us and I’ll debate corruption. I’d rather debate Obama on the real issues of how his policies will destroy Americas and the world’s economy. I’d prefer to debate how his view of the world is childlike and will end up destroying America’s standing and getting Americans killed across the globe and at home when we get attacked again. Debating on hypocrisy is debating on emotion, which is a liberal game that Conservatives need to avoid.
