Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Democrat ad slams Crist and Palin for…are you kidding…not finishing their terms?

There’s a certain amount of detachment from reality that just tastes mega-deeeelish and super sweet, enough to put you in a diabetic coma.  This ad is such an ad.

Basically, it slams FL governor Charlie Crist and AK governor Sarah Palin as being quitters.  Two things jump out here:

1.  Crist isn’t quitting anything.  He’s finishing out the term he was elected to serve, and he’s not running for governor again.  That’s different than Palin, who’s quitting halfway into her first term.

2.  Do the geniuses (or is it genii? But I digress…) behind this ad not realize that their, to coin Ace’s phrase, “Skittle pootin’ unicorn” in the White House is such a quitter?  He was elected Senator in 2004, and his term wasn’t to end until 2010.  He missed well over half of the votes in the Senate in order to prep himself for the next job (without ever spending much time at the job to which he had just been elected).  Then he decided to quit his job to run for President last year.  So tell me again, how does this not make him a quitter?

Chutzpah: it’s not just for breakfast anymore.

  1. The Advert is from the Dems senatorial campaign. It’s won’t fly in FLA, as you know John, where Charlie is virtually invincible. The only person who has a chance of beating him is Jeb, a fellow Republican, and he choose not to run this time. Do the Dems though want to really go there. Napolitano, Sabellius and many others left their Governorships to be secretaries in the Obama Admin. Biden, I believe, ran both for Vice President and for his Senatorial seat in Delaware at the same time.
