“You lie!”
Many of you are familiar with the story by now. During B.O.’s health care pitch last night, the prez lied through his teeth when he said that criminal aliens would not be covered by his health plan. We know that’s not true.
Joe Wilson (R-SC) interjected “You lie!“ He’s right. But was that the proper forum for the outburst?
I contend that it was not the right place or the right time. While I detest the policies of B.O. and his minions running the Congress, I’m still naive enough to believe that the office of the president still deserves respect, regardless of whether its current occupant deserves it.
The left’s and the MSM’s (pardon the redundancy) reaction, though, is telling. The Dems booed and heckled Bush during his 2005 SOTU speech. No apologies, as far as I know. But be that as it may, I’d like to think the good guys (for those of you on the left, “good guys” is not you) show more restraint and maturity than that.
Your thoughts are welcome.

My initial thought was “GREAT, FINALLY”, but the more I think about it the comment should have been reserved for after the fact. I can’t for the life of me understand the BS behind politics. Everyone knows he is lying, but all we will hear from the right is stuff about “misleading statements” or “mischaracterizing details” or “not completely factual”. His own party says it will cost more but he continues to say it won’t. For once I’d like to hear a straight shooter in public office.
And if there is so much waste in medicare that it can pay for public option healthcare, why in the wide, wide world of sports has it not been addressed already!!!

I think if anyone was out of line, it was Obama. Not only was his speech full of lies and distortions, he procceded to attack everyone who disagrees with him, from the American people to talk radio. He’s so undignified. Wilson shouldn’t have apologized. It’s about time someone calls Obama out for his lies.

Wilson is a hero! It’s time we turn the heat up on this Socialist. Enough-is-enough!

I guess since Wilson apologized (I didn’t think he should have) then we’ll be hearing Bush get all those Democrat apologies from his 2005 State-of-the-Union speech where he was booed throughout his speech? Or could that be “different”?
