Joe Biden just called to say that Barry’s jaunt to Copenhagen to lobby for Chicago to host the Olympics is paying off “far better than thought” and is succeeding “beyond my wildest dreams”!  :lol:

UPDATE (10/02/2009 – 12:41 PM EST): Watch CNN “anchor” Tony Harris stammer in disbelief upon seeing his guy’s efforts fail.  He looks like someone slapped his mama.  Nope…no liberal media bias!

UPDATE (10/02/2009 – 08:01 PM EST): And the spin begins, from the left and the MSM (pardon the redundancy).  Since Obama’s stinging rebuke around lunchtime:

Axelrod blames Bush (wink wink nudge nudge).  Seriously.  Never saw that coming, huh?

Rush: “Who knew the Olympic Committee was a bunch of racists?”.  Heh.

Ed Henry, CNN reporter: You know, “hope and change” maybe (and I can’t stress “may” enough) “just didn’t sell”!  Who knew that people were impervious to Chairman Zero’s charm?

Newsweek’s Katie Connolly: You know, losing the Olympics was a good thing for Obama.  Spin away, Toots.

Follow-up to Biden’s detached “stimulus is working” assertion

Last week, the Vice Plagiarist told us how awesomely awesome the stimulus was working.  Yeah…awesome:

Headline: “Banks With 20% Unpaid Loans at 18-Year High Amid Recovery Doubt”  (Sidebar: Why does the MSM keep touting “signs of recovery” when there are none, and stories like this illustrate that reality?)

Unemployment rate: Up to 9.8% nationwide.

Unemployment rate when you count those who have given up looking for work and those who got laid off and are working part-time just to keep from starving:  17%.

AFP headline:  “Stocks slump as economic optimism dims”  (Not just American stocks, but global ones, too.)

I know, I know: The numbers used in economics must be racist.  Or something.
