Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Happy Thanksgiving!

May God bless you and yours this Thanksgiving, and remember to give thanks to this above all else:

John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten son; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

I am thankful to all of my family and friends, and for you, my kind visitors and commenters.  I am humbled by your continued presence!

Obama to Indian PM: Don’t you feel honored to be my first foreign guest here at the White House? You should, ya know.

The adulation of B.O. by his Kool-Aid drinking minions is exceeded only by the adulation of B.O. by…well, by B.O. himself.  Observe:

President Obama welcomed Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to the White House with words that have inspired snickers in New Delhi:

“Yours is the first official state visit of my presidency, its fitting that you and India be so recognised,” 48-year-old Obama told the 77-year-old Indian leader.

The general reaction in India has been: Who the heck does this guy think he is? Note to the Great Diplomat: When you do a head of state an honor, you don’t remind him, in public, of the fact that you have done him an honor, particularly in self-aggrandizing terms of this sort.

I cannot imagine Dr. Singh responding to Obama: “I am the first state visitor of your presidency, and it is fitting that you and the United States be so recognized. Especially considering that I have the guts to stand up to the Chinese from time to time, while you’re basically groveling and praying that they don’t decide to divest their dollar holdings. Did I mention our 7 percent economic growth, compared to your … 3 percent, 3.5? Now, what did you want to talk about?”

Wow.  Just “wow”.  The arrogance of this man is not just astounding, but it’s embarrassing, too.  Now the world is beginning to notice it and laugh at him.

Exit question: How confused is B.O. gonna be when he reads that (much to his amazement) not everyone thinks as highly of him as he does?

More ACORN trouble

Not content with humiliating and implicating itself by helping child sex trafficking, ACORN has been busy with other things lately.  Namely (thanks to BigGovernment.com for this)…:

The “non-partisan” organization left behind a document outlining its partisan agenda in an OK office that it left hastily (in order to avoid paying the landlord back rent).

ACORN’s idea of helping the poor is…spending $9k of members’ dues at a fertility clinic?  ACORN then “dumped the credit card statement detailing the charge into a public dumpster just days before the Attorney’s General office was scheduled to visit”, but I’m sure that was just a well-timed coinkidink.

ACORN dumps a document that outlines its intended political activities in Californiastan, especially to scrap Prop. 13 (which limits the state’s ability to raise certain taxes).  ACORN’s not too interested what the people of CA think about running their own state.
