Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Obama adviser: “Recession is over”; Obama adviser: “No, it’s not”

We’re in good hands, my friends!  Exhibit #1:

The President’s top economic advisor, Larry Summers, told me that “by spring employment growth will start turning positive.”

During my “This Week” interview, Summers said that “everybody agrees that the recession is over,” but he did not say when the unemployment rate could be expected to drop further.

Yeah…”everyone”.  Exhibit #2:

Asked by moderator David Gregory if the recession were over, [White House economic adviser Christina] Romer shot back: “Of course not. For the people on Main Street and throughout this country, they are still suffering, the unemployment rate is still 10 percent.”

Any wonder why this administration is going down faster than Monica Lewinsky?

  1. This isn’t a misstep or a communications foul-up; it’s a test. It’s designed to see whether all good, loyal Obamunists have developed the ability to engage in DoubleThink a la Orwell’s “1984.” The recession is over AND isn’t over, depending on which position you need to hold at any given moment. Now, report to the Ministry of Love for your re-education session.
