Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Quote of the day, “Obama and trucks” edition

B.O. the elitist, snarking on MA Senate candidate Scott Brown:

Forget the ads. Everybody can run slick ads. Forget the truck. [Laughter] Everybody can buy a truck.

While “everybody can buy a truck”, it takes a certain je ne sais quoi to be able to adeptly knock down reporters perceived to be hostile to one’s socialist agenda.  Now that is mad skills, baby!  At any rate, add “trucks” to the list of things that rural Americans “cling to” like guns and religion, I guess.

Brown’s retort:

“Mr. President, unfortunately in this economy, not everybody can buy a truck,” Brown said in a statement. “My goal is to change that by cutting spending, lowering taxes and letting people keep more of their own money.”

Exit observation: Funny that B.O. is cracking on Brown driving a truck made by Government Motors, no?  Great salesmanship, sir.

  1. More comical than the truck comment is the notion of Obama taking a swipe at Brown for running “slick ads”. This, from the Pepsi for President campaign. Puh-lease.

  2. Brown aimed, fired, and hit his mark. Obama, well, he took one of those guns that rural Americans “cling to” and shot himself in the foot… while shooting off his mouth. Not everyone in the outback owns a truck, nor does every one in the “big city” not own one. This clueless man needs an attitude adjustment, or soon he’ll be thinking anyone outside the limits of a city of 1 million are “Deliverance” hicks brewing their own moonshine and marrying their cousins – although, he may already think that. Mr. Empty Suit has alienated his followers with trucks… and dissed a GM truck. Sweet justice.

Tips for Team Obama: Don’t diss someone’s truck, don’t spit in the wind, and don’t claim Curt Schilling is a Yankees fan. Numbers 1 & 3, they’ve failed on… Number 2 is up for grabs.
