Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

Charlie Crist supports counting criminal immigrants in census

Friggin’ brilliant, Charlie.  You’re tanking now in a poll that you led by 30+% a couple of months ago, so you figured the best way to regain the lead in a conservative primary is…to shill for illegal immigrantsReally?

I’m going to love casting my vote for Marco Rubio this summer.

Quote of the day, “I’m REALLY not a leftist!” edition

This is a real knee-slapper!  Excerpt:

“I am not an ideologue,” President Obama insisted at his truly refreshing confab with the Republican caucus in Baltimore last Friday. When he heard some incredulous murmurs and chuckles from the audience in response to the idea that the most sincerely ideological president in a generation is no ideologue, he added a somewhat plaintive, “I’m not.”

The evidence offered that Obama is no ideologue rests almost entirely on two contentions: He has annoyed some members of his ideological base, and because he says so.

That’s what chapped my posterior more than anything about the 2008 election.  Any sentient being could look at B.O.’s skimpy voting record (the votes that weren’t “present”) and see that virtually every single position he took was not just on the left, but on the far left.  He had no proof whatsoever that he had ever been “pragmatic”, bipartisan, or anything other than a leftist ideologue.

Yet when he was speaking his flowery rhetoric (and, as Reid pointed out, “without a Negro dialect”) on the campaign trail about reaching out, finding the proper answers and not the left or right answers, about purple states and not red or blue ones, normal Americans like myself howled in incredulous laughter.  He had never been a pragmatic politician, and his record conveyed that clearly.  Yet because he was such an unknown, people could project their ideals on him without a frame of reference.

Well, guess what?  You have a frame of reference now, America, and it is the Marxist in the Oval Office.  How’s that Hopenchange working for you now, huh?

Reid’s “light-skinned” pal with “no Negro dialect” trashes Vegas…again

Yes…again.  Way to win friends and influence people, Barry.

Reid did gently chastise B.O., and D’oh-bama has tried to clarify his statement (“inartful”, I’m guessing).  But I’m guessing that bringing in his “clean, articulate” pal for campaigning is still a go.
