Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

MSM to Obama: You don’t bring me flowers anymore

From Byron York, regarding President Thin-skin’s not having a presser in nearly a year:

The situation amazes veterans of previous administrations. “I think it is astonishing that there isn’t carping about this from the press every day,” says former Bush White House press secretary Dana Perino. “Believe me, they would have nailed us to the wall.”

In one sense, the press, or at least some members of the press, have only themselves to blame. Obama treats them with contempt because he knows that when big tests come, they’ve always been on his side. There’s no reason for him to think they won’t be there in the future. “Most of you covered me,” he told the media elite at the 2009 White House Correspondents’ Association dinner. “All of you voted for me.”

That’s the attitude coming out of the Oval Office every day. Why does Obama do it? Because he can.

I suppose I’m beating a dead horse by playing “What if Bush had done it?”

The MSM has battered spouse syndrome: B.O. can neglect and abuse them, but they’ll be there, devotedly and pathetically, when push comes to shove (or backhand).

Nope…no liberal media bias!

A drunk Kennedy humiliates himself, albeit unintentionally

Ted Kennedy was unavailable for comment.  Patches, however, was available for this nugget:

CNSNews.com: “What is your reaction to the [Mexican] president criticizing the Arizona law?”

Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-R.I.): “Well he’s right on. I mean, it violates the spirit of our own Constitution. So, you know, we  had a tragic history in this country. The most shameful parts of our history were when we had our slave trade, when we, when we, the Trail of Tears — what we did to our Native Americans.  And, you know, the proudest moments in our history are when we had the Civil Rights Act, when we moved forward on integration and expanding the opportunities for all of our citizens. So, this idea of, you know, racial profiling, takes us backwards and really goes to the worst character of our nation and it’s, it’s demeaning to our country that we would move in that direction. It’s beneath us as a people.”

Slave trade?  Trail of Tears?  Seriously, border security and enforcement of federal immigration law is akin to slave trade and the Trail of Tears?  Seriously?

I suppose it’s belaboring the point to mention, yet again, that the AZ immigration law explicitly forbids racial profiling.  But Patches is simply doing what B.O., Nappy Napolitano, Holder, and other Obamatons are doing: popping off about a law they haven’t ever read.  That’s yet additional proof that liberals are impervious to facts.
