Portland mayor recognizes the main threat to his city: Islamophobes

A Somali-American Muslim decides to bomb Portland, OR, during a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.  Said Muslim’s plot is foiled.  Portland beefs up security…for Muslims, naturally.  Details:

Patrols around mosques and other Islamic sites in Portland have been stepped up as Muslim leaders expressed fears of retribution, days after a Somali-American man was accused of trying to blow up a van full of explosives during the city’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

Portland Mayor Sam Adams said Sunday that he beefed up protection around mosques “and other facilities that might be vulnerable to knuckle-headed retribution” after hearing of the bomb plot.

Right.  Because it was someone from an Islamophobe background, and not someone from a Muslim fanatic background, that tried to bomb his city…right?

If Islamofascism doesn’t destroy America, political correctness will.  If you live in Portland, I advise you to get the hell out.  Your mayor is more concerned about not offending people than he is about keeping his city’s residents safe.

  1. They must be putting some new additive in the Kool-Aid that Lefties drink. Yesterday, I had a troll screaming at me in my comments section, accusing me of being a “jihadi of a different ideology” just because I dared speak out against radical Islamist violence. As if denouncing terrorism is worse than terrorism itself. It’s some bizarre permutation of Godwin’s law.

  2. I can sit here all day long and list stupid muslim aggression against America, her people and her interests. By aggression, I mean actual acts that cause or intend to cause actual harm to actual people.

    I can sit here all day long and try to think of any example of stupid aggression against muslims and would end up with an empty list.

    Why all this concern over what some certain people may do while nearly no concern over what other certain people are doing?

    We might not make it to 2012.

  4. Nobody in their RIGHT mind, Sojourner…only those in their LEFT mind. TheBad nailed it; a laundry lists exists of documented attempts (some successful) by Islamic terrorists, while the list of aggression against Islamic people is suspiciously minute (a mosque was set on fire once, and following the attacks in November 2001, some Muslim-owned stored were spray painted).
    Wow, such threats…yeah, let’s not crack down on those who might want to, oh I don’t know, BLOW UP VANS AT CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTINGS, SET THEIR EXPLOSIVE BVD’s ON FIRE, OR EXPLODE THEIR AIR-JIHADS UP WHILE IN MID-FLIGHT!!!!
