Barney Frank not seeking re-election, wants to spend more time with his cat

It’s possible I made up that last part.  But I’m telling the truth about the first part:

Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) will not run for re-election for a 17th term. He’ll hold a press conference at 1 pm ET to discuss his decision.

Yeah, I suppose that a lifetime of wrecking our nation’s housing market and running a brothel with your boyfriend pimping ho’s out of your DC residence is enough to finally wear a guy down.  At any rate, don’t look for this reliably blue distrcit to flip to the sensible side any time soon.

  2. Good riddance ideed! I can’t believe that guy got elected for 17 terms. 17!!! That’s INSANE. Barney should not pass go, he should not collect $200, he should go directly to PRISON where he belongs. Chris Dodd can be his cellmate.

  3. I’ve got family up there in Barney Frank’s district in Massachusetts. Even though he won the seat 17 times, his reelection has been more about the massive amounts of pork he brought to his district, not necessarily the political leaning of the area. His district includes the Cape, which is the east coast version of San Francisco or Northeast version of Key West. But most of his district’s growth is now off of the Cape near Plymouth. That area is not liberal. So there is hope the seat may change over.

  5. Frankie can’t find enough male pages in Congress to recruit for his gay brothel anymore. His rainbow coalition has no pot of gold at the end. It has a huge dung pile instead. Herbie the gay love bug has a rotten stench in it, which drives away any potential gay recruit, so Barney can’t get any new riders to “play” with.

  9. Barney is not allergic to cats, just the other. I always figured he talked funny because he’d had so many “things” in his mouth. Gotta give Barney credit though, being an unattractive queer, he had to get his affection “commercially” so his ho house in DC was capitalism in action.
