Obama: Al Gore’s invention responsible for job losses

Well, at least he didn’t double down on his “ATMs are costing us jobs” nonsense.  Oh, wait…

“Layoffs too often became permanent, not part of the business cycle. And these changes didn’t just affect blue collar workers. If you were a bank teller or a phone operator or a travel agent, you saw many in your profession replaced by ATMs and the internet,” President Obama said at a campaign event in Kansas.

I’ve been accessing money via ATMs for over 20 years, and for most of that time, unemployment was pretty low.  We’ve been using the Internet on a widespread basis for about the last 15+ years, and for most of that time, unemployment was pretty low.  You know, it’s almost as if he’s got not friggin’ clue what he’s doing and what he’s talking about…almost, that is.

  1. Wow…to suck so much at making economic policy that you actually blame technology rather than admit fault. Sounds like a Columbia grad to me! Hey, the automobile industry has destroyed the horse shoe industry…technology is so economically destructive, isn’t it?

  2. Obama and Libs blame everyone but themselves for the failings of Socialist Policies. The Democrtatic campaign slogan is Divide and Conquer. Blame other groups for the failings of one, and only the Democrats can level the field in your favor or punish the evil other group for you. In reality giving no group the ability to succeed, and the Libs stay in power, enriching themselves. This is the lie behind the modern Democratic Party and in part Republican Party as well.

  4. This administration continues to crack me up, and scare me. They are so freakin’ clueless one minute, then I fear they are purposefully appearing to be so.
    It’s like the little guy who is a black belt in something baiting the big guy into a fight by appearing to be defenseless.
    Still think the Ovomit is planning some ugly surprise around the time for elections. To nullify the whole process.
    Liberalism is a mental disorder.
