Yep, this is who the Vice Plagiarist says “was right” about economics and world markets.

(CNSNews.com) – Vice President Joe Biden said that he wished opponents of President Barack Obama’s jobs act knew what it felt like to be robbed or raped, indicating that if they did, they would not oppose government spending on public jobs such as police officers.

“I wish these guys who thought it was temporary, I wish they had some notion of what it was like to be on the other side of a gun, or [to have] a 200-pound man standing over you, telling you to submit,” Biden told a crowd at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia on Tuesday, adding, “Folks, it matter, it matters.”

Um…OK.  I get it: B.O.’s jobs package would keep people from being raped and robbed, and if you oppose it, you deserve to be raped and robbed.  Thanks for the clarification, Joe.

“In 2008, when Flint had 265 sworn officers on their police force, there were 35 murders and 91 rapes in this city,” Biden said. “In 2010, when Flint had only 144 police officers, the murder rate climbed to 65 and rapes–just to pick two categories–climbed to 229. In 2011, you now only have 125 shields. God only knows what the numbers will be this year for Flint if we don’t rectify it.”

The vice president also seemed to suggest that the Obama administration’s first stimulus is the reason rapes and murders were not even higher in 2010 and 2011.” And God only knows what that number would have been had we not been able to get a little bit of help,” Biden said.

Ho. Ly. Shiite. 

So building more roads, bridges, and pork projects, plus raising taxes on millionaires, will…um…prevent rapes in Flint, Michigan?  Seriously?  That’s the greyhound you’re betting on, champ?

It’s not a united Republican party . . . Absolutely, it’s strong enough to beat both of us. No matter what the circumstance, at the end of the day, the American people right now, many of them are in trouble, an even larger percentage have stagnant wages and a significant majority of the American people believe the country’s not moving in the right direction. That is never a good place to be going into a reelection . . . They’re going to have to choose whether or not the path we have set the country on is the path we should go or whether we should go back to liberating the economy in the terms of . . .[voice trails off]

Ladies and gentlemen, I drafted an outline of what I think the Constitutional limits [garbled] have on the President with the War Clause. Minor technicality: only the House can impeach a president, not the Senate (in which Biden was at the time of this statement).  The Senate then votes on whether to remove the impeached president.  Come on, Joe, Bubba’s Senate trial wasn’t that long ago, was it?

Let’s see: in 2007, Biden was still in the Senate and a Republican was in the White House.  Biden thought, for some weird reason, that we might attack Iran, and if that attack were to come, it would come via the Republican president not consulting with Congress.

Fast forward to 2011.  The Democrat president launched an attack on Libya without Congressional approval.  So I’m sure that the Vice Plagiarist feels the exact same way, in order to remain consistent with his words from four years ago, right?  Right?

“Every single great idea that has marked the 21st century, the 20th century and the 19th century has required government vision and government incentive,” he said. “In the middle of the Civil War you had a guy named Lincoln paying people $16,000 for every 40 miles of track they laid across the continental United States… No private enterprise would have done that for another 35 years.”

Retorts Reason: 

What was the “government vision and government incentive” that produced the assembly line? Motion-picture film? Air conditioning? The electric guitar? How about the personal computer? The mobile phone? Non-violent resistance? Aspirin?

Though Biden is generally not to be taken seriously, the government-centrism of his comments are an accurate reflection of his boss, and part of the reason why next Tuesday is going to be an awkward day of work at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

Well, Al Gore did give us the Internet, so there’s that.

What’s crazier than that?  How about that the Washington comPost and their leftist brethren in the MSM would take Biden’s attaboy report and go “Wow, that stimulus thing really worked, huh?”  Uncritically.  Unfazed by the notion that maybe the author of the report had a compelling interest in representing the outcome a certain way.  Unapologetically.  That’s the comPost for you:

Dianne Feinstein said on the Senate floor that “it begins with judicial nominations, next will be executive appointments, and then legislation.” Now, Democrats want to skip over the first two — which never happened — and leap right to legislation. Chuck Schumer called the 2005 suggestion to exempt judicial nominations from the filibuster as “almost a temper tantrum”; if that was the case in 2005, what does 2010 represent? A psychotic break from reality? Straitjacket time?

Flaming hypocrites.  Good thing their reign of terror is about to come to a much deserved end.

I refuse to accept the notion that the United States of America is not going to lead the world economically throughout the 20th Century.

Here’s what the AP says that the Vice-Plagiarist said:

“I absolutely refuse to accept the notion that the United States of America is not going to lead the world economically throughout the 21st Century,” Biden said during remarks to supporters on the Delta campus.

He did not use the word “absolutely”, and he did not say “21st century”.  If it’s not the typical liberal media bias to which we are accustomed at work here, it’s inexcusable laziness.  Either way, it’s not favorable to the MSM and portrays them (accurately, I might add) as incompetent at their jobs.

On CBS’s “Face the Nation” last weekend, Biden shot back that he doesn’t “know whether the new senator from Massachusetts understands: When you get tried in a military tribunal, you get a lawyer, too.”

“He’s trying to give me a lesson on military law, and I didn’t think it was appropriate,” Brown told POLITICO. “And I thought he was off base when it comes to explaining to the American people that somehow I need a lesson on whether people get attorneys — of course they get attorneys. There’s a difference as to what type of attorney they’re going to get and when they’re going to get that attorney, and how are they treated, and what rights do they, in fact, get.”

Brown said he is particularly incensed by Biden’s remarks because he’s served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for more than 30 years and is currently the Guard’s top defense attorney in New England.

“I know the military rules and regulations and procedures from A to Z,” Brown said.

Pretty sure the Vice Plagiarist can’t say that.

Maybe when Biden was getting his hair plugs, the roots went a little deep and damaged his gray matter a tad.  You know, making Biden think that Scott Brown was that other Senator from MA who doesn’t know his butt from a hole in the ground on military matters?

Stimulus jobs numbers off by several thousand.

CBS Evening News says the administrations numbers are “hard to believe”…and they didn’t mean it in the “Wow, this guy is more awesomely McAwesome than we originally thought!”  Dude, when the Dan Rather network doubts B.O., then something is definitely off!

The Vice-Plagiarist himself: “We know this is not 100 percent accurate,” he said. “Further updates and corrections are going to be needed.”  As Palin once said: Thanks for the warning, Joe.

Caroline Baum: Jobs “saved or created” is a “fantasy.”

Although, there are some jobs that benefit from Porkulus dollars: contractors with spotty performance histories with our government.  Heckuva job, Barry.

When it comes to the administration and their employment numbers, I quote the great Vincent Gambini from My Cousin Vinny: “Everything that guy said is bull$h!t.”

Headline: “Banks With 20% Unpaid Loans at 18-Year High Amid Recovery Doubt”  (Sidebar: Why does the MSM keep touting “signs of recovery” when there are none, and stories like this illustrate that reality?)

Unemployment rate when you count those who have given up looking for work and those who got laid off and are working part-time just to keep from starving:  17%.

The numbers don’t back up this man’s delusional rosy talk.  Ergo, the numbers are racist.

Vice President Joe Biden said today that if Democrats were to lose 35 House seats they currently hold in traditionally Republican districts, it would mean doomsday for President Obama’s agenda.

Biden said Republicans are pinning their political strategy on flipping these seats.

“If they take them back, this the end of the road for what Barack and I are trying to do,” the vice president said at a fundraiser for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) today in Greenville, Delaware.

We should be so lucky.  (Sidebar: Is it not curious that a Democrat from a red district in AZ is trolling for campaign cash in blue states?  But hey, where would you get the crazy idea that she’s anything other than a “moderate”?)

Anywho, here’s the kicker:

Biden said these House seats are Republicans “one shot” at breaking the Obama administration’s agenda. But if Democrats can hold on to those seats, “the dam is going to break,” he said, and a new era of bipartisanship will begin.

Uh…what?  If the Republicans pick up a bunch of seats in an anti-Obama political climate, yet not enough seats to reclaim the House, then Biden will see this loss of Democrat seats as evidence that “bipartisanship” is the order of the day?  Really?  “Hey, let’s be nice to the Republicans, since they picked up a bunch of seats!  Maybe they won’t pick up as many next time.”  Seriously?

Then what does this mean for the reverse scenario?  Let’s say the GOP doesn’t pick up any seats.  By logical extension, according to the Vice-Plagiarist, a new era of partisanship will begin.  After all, how can “bipartisanship” begin if the Dems continue their stranglehold on our wallets Congress?  Something tells me that “partisanship” doesn’t bother him too much, if it’s coming from his side (i.e. the left side).

“And folks look, AARP knows and the people with me here today know, the president knows, and I know, that the status quo is simply not acceptable,” Biden said at the event on Thursday in Alexandria, Va. “It’s totally unacceptable. And it’s completely unsustainable. Even if we wanted to keep it the way we have it now. It can’t do it financially.”
 
“We’re going to go bankrupt as a nation,” Biden said.
 
“Now, people when I say that look at me and say, ‘What are you talking about, Joe? You’re telling me we have to go spend money to keep from going bankrupt?’” Biden said. “The answer is yes, that’s what I’m telling you.” (Listen to Audio)

My friend’s wife tried that approach to their finances: “But honey, if I don’t spend money, we’ll go bankrupt!”  She spent.  They went bankrupt.  I’m just sayin’.

Ahmanutjob says he won the Iranian “election”.  We know it was rigged.  Pro-reform students say they’re screwed if Obama accepts the tainted election results that confirm Ahmanutjob’s victory.  Obama says “Hey, sucks for you, reformers!” by legitimizing vote fraud, like his mentor Jimmy “the Dhimmi” Carter would do.  Of course, considering his deep ties to ACORN, this should come as no surprise.

Oprompter fires an Inspector General who was investigating an Uhhh-bama ally, a move that should have generated tons of outrage due to its reeking of Chicago-style corruption and cronyism.  Firing an I.G. is rare, even more so than, oh, firing U.S. Attorneys who serve at the pleasure of the president.  Yet for some really weird reason, the left and the MSM (pardon the redundancy) made a lot of noise over the latter scenario when a Republican administration did it.  But nope…no liberal media bias!

Here is an outstanding column on the left’s and the MSM’s (it’s a redundant Monday, what can I say?) efforts to link abortionist George Tiller’s murderer to us pro-lifers.  I just want to know: Why is it “out of bounds” or “beyond the pale” to play “guilt by association” with Obama and guys he actually DID personally know and associate with (Wright, Ayers, Dohrn, Farrakahn), but it’s totally acceptable to play “guilt by association” with von Brunn and millions of people he didn’t know or who didn’t know him?  Nope…no liberal media bias!

He doesn’t know his own Secretary of Defense’s name.  We know, we know…you inherited him from Bush.

He’s fighting with his own party to close Gitmo.  For some really weird reason, a lot of people don’t think it’s a good idea to close a terrorist Alcatraz and bring bloodthirsty jihadist camelhumpers to America where they might try to blow up NY synagogues.  Go figure.  Especially when 1 in 7 freed Gitmo detainees return to terrorism (the administration was trying to keep that factoid on the “down-low”, so as not to undermine his stupid, heavy-on-emotion-but-light-on-fact case for closing Gitmo unduly alarming anyone).

Jobless claims are on the rise at a record pace.  Oil prices are up.  The CBO says unemployment will keep going up through next year.  We’ve quadrupled our deficit from last year.  The dollar is teetering on collapse.  Yet the MSM tries to sell us on how the economy has turned around?

The Gilded One has been caught in a lie about the “transparency” we were going to see from the Porkulus bill he signed into law.

Thanks to Uhhh-bama’s unholy alliance with unions, union-based companies are going to find it tough to get loans for their businesses. 

Oprompter’s vice-president isn’t exactly the shiniest light on the Christmas tree, and it’s proving to be very “distracting”, according to a new book.  When he plagiarizes Hillary’s Tuzla moment as something that really happened to him (forgetting that we’ve heard the story before, and from/to someone else), it’s easy to see how Quayle…er, Biden…can be such a “distraction”, no?

Remember Team Obama’s promise that “no one earning under $250k will see their taxes go up a dime”?  Well, the Senate is bringing up a federal beer tax to fund Omarxist’s socialized medicine plan.  I had no idea that the only people who drank beer were folks who earned a quarter million dollars and higher.

On the positive front for him:

He still has the NYT in his pocket, so much so that they’ve opened their very own NYT Obama merchandise store.  But no, no liberal media bias or anything!

That brilliant foreign policy expert veep we have, the gaffe-tastic Joe Biden, thanked Spanish prime minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero for his help in Iraq.  Someone forgot to let the Vice-Plagiarist know that Zap was elected right after the Madrid train bombing by al Qaeda in 2004, promising immediate withdrawal in response to the bombing.  As soon as Zap took office, he made good on his cowardly promise.  Brilliant, Joe.  Boy, it sure is a good thing we finally have people with brains running the show!

President Oprompter feels that “I think it’s important to engage your critics … because not only will you occasionally change their mind but, more importantly, sometimes they will change your mind”.  Of course…which would explain why the five people the prez called upon during this town hall meeting just so happened to be, miracle of all miracles, avid Obama supporters!

In 2006, Rahm Emmanuel made a compelling case for opposing corporate welfare and for taking pride in welfare reform that took place during the Clinton years.  Now the same man thinks that corporate bailouts (same diff as corporate welfare, aren’t they?) are an awesome idea, as is his boss’ Porkulus bill that dismantles welfare reform.  It’s like the man says one thing and does another or something!  I know, I know…paranoid of me to conclude that, huh?

Uhhh-bama hits the late night talk show circuit, 60 Minutes, and several other televised appearances in order to sell his socialist crap sandwich to America.  As a result of the smooth brutha’s sermons, support for said crap sandwich has…dropped an additional 5%.  Keep talking, sir!  You can defeat this thing yet.

Add The Economist to the list of right-of-center pundits/publications who should have consulted with Coach Dennis Green before endorsing The One, because they’re now finding out that Obama is who we thought he was!  They now have buyer’s remorse.  Q and O asks them “What leadership position of any importance has the man ever held that would indicate he had what it took to lead as President?  And why didn’t you explore that question, its answer and ramifications before you jumped on the Hope and Change bandwagon?”

Candidate O promised us that whole “95% of working families” tax cut thingy.  We adults warned the Kool-Aid drinkers and economic illiterates that (ignoring the reality that 95% of Americans don’t pay taxes) he, like other Democrats, don’t cut taxes…they raise them.  Clinton did the same thing in 1992, running on a “middle class tax cut” then promptly reneging on the deal (some would say “lied”, but why quibble over semantics?) and raising our taxes.  The Obamessiah is now doing the same thing.  Awesome video montage here.  The last two Democrat presidents have been pathological liars, saying whatever the sheeple want to hear.  It’s like they’re so hopelessly dishonest they can’t help themselves.

Like I said before: elections have consequences.
