Unfreakingbelievable! DNC Chair asks Netanyahu to tell Republican Jews not to make Israel an issue in 2012!
Ho. Ly. Shiite. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the new moonbat-in-chief of the DNC, doesn’t have an ounce of friggin’ shame.
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday met with representative delegates of the Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) and the National Jewish Democratic Council (NJDC).
OK, so Bibi is meeting with Republican Jews and Democrat Jews. Seems reasonable, no? But then this wench has the temerity to do this crap in front of Bibi:
But while the meeting was meant to shore up bipartisan support for Israel from American Jewish political organizations, it quickly became a partisan bickering match, with the chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), Debbie Wasserman Schultz, using the platform to tell Republican Jews to stop doing what they’re doing.
The RJC used their opening remarks to say that now was a historical time for the future of the Middle East, and to thank Prime Minister Netanyahu for meeting with them. But while the NJDC’s chairman said essentially the same thing, he was followed by hyper-partisan comments, first from Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chair Steve Israel and then from the DNC chair, Wasserman Schultz.
Sitting in front of Netanyahu, the DNC chair asked the RJC to “pledge to refrain in 2012 from using Israel as part of the issues in campaigns,” according to RJC executive director Matt Brooks. “It started that way. Right from the get go they just jumped on it.”
“They decided to hijack these meeting in order to, in front of the prime minister, put a gag order in effect to prevent us from speaking out on Israel,” Brooks says.
It is highly unusual for a sitting DNC chair to try to use a foreign prime minister to pressure another political group to act in a way that she deems appropriate. But this seems to have been what happened yesterday.
Asked about Netanyahu’s reaction, Brooks said Netanyahu was “clearly uncomfortable and at one point said, ‘do you guys want me to leave the room and give you guys some privacy?’”
Are you freakin’ kidding me? How embarrassing! How disrespectful for a respected world leader!
Hey, DWS, I got a question for you, Toots. How’s about you take the plank out of your party’s eye before you
shove it up your matzo hole pluck the splinter from your neighbor’s eye?
Senate Democrats are expected to support a resolution intended as a rebuff to President Obama’s call for basing Middle East peace talks on the 1967 Israeli-Palestinian borders.
It would be a rare rebuke of the president by the upper chamber and a sign that Democrats are worried about the impact of last week’s speech on the U.S.-Israel relationship and pro-Israel constituents.
Democrats in both chambers are scrambling to fix the damage caused when Obama called for the 1967 borders and land swaps as a basis for peace.
Some Democrats have tried to downplay the rift, but Israel’s strongest supporters in Congress say there’s no denying that Obama made a tactical mistake in handling the relationship.
I guess those pesky Jews need to “know their place”, right?
Boy, that Fox News sure is biased, huh? What about NBC?
DAVID GREGORY: At the same time, what’s happening today, we want to take you live here in Washington, D.C., to the scene of AIPAC. This is the pro-Israel lobby, very powerful in the United States. The President will be speaking here, Andrea Mitchell, and this is on the heels of a rupture with Israel. The President said this week that any peace plan, a Palestinian state would have to go back to the borders of prior to the 1967 war. This was significant.
[ANDREA] MITCHELL: He did have language that said there would be land swaps to protect Israel’s security, but it was taken as a red flag by Netanyahu. And what happened then was that even if this was implicit in things that previous presidents had said, Netanyahu seized on it. Even before he got on the plane, he criticized the President, and in such a fashion! He lectured him in the Oval Office. And if you look at that picture that you have up there right now, it was a stone-faced Barack Obama and Netanyahu basically treating him like a school boy. People even who work for Netanyahu, some Israeli officials, told him later that he went too far. That it was, it was really rude and that there would be blowback to this.
BOB SCHIEFFER: And we’re back with the Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich. Mister Gingrich, the President made a big speech on the Middle East last week. What did you think of it?
NEWT GINGRICH: I think it is a disaster. I think it is extraordinarily dangerous. I think that it–defining the 1967 border would be an act of suicide for Israel. They are totally non-defensible. Ithink for the United States, you know– we don’t have moral equivalence here. You have Hamas which is a terrorist organization whose stated goal is the destruction of Israel. You have a democracy. Now the idea that somehow we’re supposed to be neutral between Hamas and Israel is fundamentally flawed. And I do not believe that we should have any pressure on Israel as long as Hamas’s policy is the destruction of Israel. And as long as missiles are being fired into Israel and terrorists are preparing to try to kill Israelis. And I think it is– a President who can’t control his own border probably shouldn’t lecture Israel about their border.
SCHIEFFER: I have to ask you though you’re using words like dangerous. I mean, the President was calling for peace. How- why – why can you characterize that as dangerous?
CHRISTIANE AMANPOUR: So you talked about no relationship. I mean, they have a frosty relationship at best, right, Jake?
JAKE TAPPER: It’s – there’s no love lost, I think it’s fair to say. And I also think it’s fair to say that when Bibi in the Oval Office did something I’ve never seen happen-
AMANPOUR: I was going to ask you-
TAPPER: -which is, which is this little history lesson on the Jewish people and suffering, that did not endear him further to the White House.
AMANPOUR: Were you, were you stunned by that? I mean, it did look like a public lecture.
SPITZER: Did Netanyahu blow it? Israel’s prime minister draws a line in the sand and Obama walks over it. If your best friend can’t tell you you’re wrong, who can?
MITCHELL: John Heilemann is National Affairs editor for New York Magazine and joins us from New York. So first of all, the angry reception that the President got, was that predictable? Whatever happened to politics ending at the water’s edge? (Right, because Mitchell and her ilk really adhered to that premise during the Bush years, right? – CL)
David Gregory: All kinds of prominent Israelis agree with Obama’s calls to 1967 borders…but I can’t name a single one of these people
When he’s not busy accusing Newt Gingrich of racism for using the racial epithet “food stamp” (I feel dirty just typing that), David Gregory likes to pass him time by publicly exposing himself as a leftist hack d0uchebag. From Newsbusters:
DAVID GREGORY, “MEET THE PRESS” HOST: I just want to make a point here. Joe, I disagree with you. This is not just the view of the White House in terms of what they think Israel ought to accept. This also reflects prominent views within Israel that this speech was actually good news for the Israeli government for some of the points that have already been laid out here.…
JOE SCARBOROUGH, HOST: Obviously, we talked about earlier, on the minds of a lot of people inside the White House and the state department is the U.N. vote coming up this fall, David, and this is seen as leverage obviously for that. We’ve talked about that. But you said this is also seen as good news for some in Israel. What major Israeli public figures have come out supporting the President’s speech?
GREGORY: Well, I (stammers), I don’t think there have been major public figures that have, but some of the commentary that’s coming out of (stammers) the commentary in the press there and others who are looking at the situation are, are recognizing that some of these factors diplomatically are actually positive for Netanyahu.
Well, there’s, um….I mean, there is uh…I almost forgot that guy, um…
Anti-Semitic former president Jimmy the Dhimmi Carter never met a dictator or terrorist thug that he didn’t like. The same foreign policy genius that gave us gas rationing, a “wear a sweater” energy policy, a 444-day American hostage standoff, and legitimizing Arafat has decided that Hamas really isn’t such a bad group of guys. I mean, if you can just get past their whole “death to Israel” charter and stuff, they’re practically jonesing for peace!
Former President Jimmy Carter will urge the Obama administration to remove Hamas from the terrorist list, FOX News has learned.
Carter, a chief defender of the U.S.-designated terror group, said Tuesday he will meet with officials in the Obama administration in two days to discuss his latest trip to the Middle East.
The international community has asked Hamas to recognize Israel, renounce violence and accept previous peace deals as part of ongoing efforts for Palestinians overall to acquire their own country. Hamas has refused.
And just how stupid is Carter? This much:
According to two eyewitnesses, including a 15-year-old boy, the bombs that were found were intended to hit Carter’s vehicle as he exited Gaza. There is some suspicion that Hamas extremists (redundant much? – Ed.) linked to Al Qaeda may be behind the attempt.
“Hey, let’s remove from the terrorist list a group that is trying to kill me!” No wonder he lost 44 states to Reagan.
Cynthia McKinney, former Democrat representative (from a racially gerrymandered district in GA) and Green Party presidential candidate this year, decided to board a ship and carry aid supplies to Hamas while they were shelling Israeli villages with rockets. What could possibly go wrong?
Without a teleprompter, dude is more worthless than a football bat, no? From ABC News blog:
“Let me be absolutely clear,” Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois, said today at a press conference in Amman, Jordan. “Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under a McCain…administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel’s under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change.”
Seriously, this #ssclown is starting to make Jean-François Heinz-Kerry look like a rank amateur. From Infidels are Cool:
I’m sure we’ll see plenty more of this. Lying through his teeth so he doesn’t get booed at a major speech, and then letting his campaign folks deal with the REAL story later…
Obama makes himself look all great when he claimed at AIPAC that Jerusalem must remain undivided.
“Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided,” Obama declared Wednesday, to rousing applause from the 7,000-plus attendees at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee policy conference.
Well now he’s backtracking and saying otherwise…
But a campaign adviser clarified Thursday that Obama believes “Jerusalem is a final status issue, which means it has to be negotiated between the two parties” as part of “an agreement that they both can live with.”
“Two principles should apply to any outcome,” which the adviser gave as: “Jerusalem remains Israel’s capital and it’s not going to be divided by barbed wire and checkpoints as it was in 1948-1967.”
It appears as though the vaginal orifice allowed those gentle Hamas peaceniks to bully him into his newly discovered position. Now THAT is what we need in a president, right?
But hey, he makes people “feel” good. And why not? If you don’t like his stance on something, just wait ten minutes and it’s bound to morph into something more to your liking.
Less than a year ago, he said they weren’t. A couple of days ago, he said our military’s presence has strengthened Iran. Today while pandering for Jewish votes, he flip-flopped.
Over 3/4 of his Senate colleagues voted to designate the IRG as a terrorist organization. Considering they’ve been aiding the Iraqi insurgency and killing our soldiers, such a designation is well deserved. But a scant few months ago, the Obamessiah, trying to shore up his moonbat base, tied a “Yes” vote with a neo-con war plan that is non-existent. If the intent was to authorize military force against Iran, how did it earn the support of that many Democrats (including Reid, Schumer, and Durbin)? Did Osamabama even bother to read the d@mned bill?
If the guy doesn’t have a hair on his nad sack to stand on his principles in the face of Jewish voters, how in the blue hell can he be expected to confront the evil that threatens this country today? What a puss!
Jimmah is as useless today as he was 30+ years ago. From the AP:
Former President Jimmy Carter said Monday that Hamas — the Islamic militant group (the MSM just can’t bring themselves to say “terrorist”, can they? – Ed.) that has called for the destruction of Israel — is prepared to accept the right of the Jewish state to “live as a neighbor next door in peace.”
Carter relayed the message in a speech in Jerusalem after meeting last week with top Hamas leaders in Syria. It capped a nine-day visit to the Mideast aimed at breaking the deadlock between Israel and Hamas militants who rule the Gaza Strip.
Hamas leaders “said that they would accept a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders” and they would “accept the right of Israel to live as a neighbor next door in peace,” Carter said.
Wow…so the Peanut Putz got the terrorists to abandon their organization’s charter and recognize the right of Israel to exist? What a miracle worker! Um, except…
Carter said Hamas promised it wouldn’t undermine Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ efforts to reach a peace deal with Israel, as long as the Palestinian people approved it in a referendum. In such a scenario, he said Hamas would not oppose a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza.
Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri in Gaza said Hamas’ readiness to put a peace deal to a referendum “does not mean that Hamas is going to accept the result of the referendum.”
“We accept a Palestinian state within the June 4 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital — a sovereign state without settlements — as well as the right of Palestinian refugees to return, but without recognition of Israel,” he said.
Terrorists ignore the will of the people, and they lie? Gee…who knew? Apparently, Carter didn’t.
Carter said that ‘The present strategy of excluding Hamas and excluding Syria is just not working”, and I just want to know this: virtually everything that man did in his four years of miserable leadership was an unmitigated failure, so what in the hell would he know about what works and what doesn’t?
He didn’t change Hamas’ minds a single bit. They re-emphasized their commitment to slaughtering innocent Jews. All Carter did was legitimize their horrific existence in the eyes of the world. Even while he’s no longer president, Jimmy the Dhimmi is still making messes in the world that will take generations (if ever) to clean up.
Lemme guess: Barry O can no more disown this man than he could disown his own family! From Capt. Ed:
The interview of Tony McPeak in the Oregonian has turned into a bigger headache for Barack Obama than first thought. Obama’s chief military adviser told the newspaper in a 2003 interview that the US should keep troops in Iraq for “a century … if we do [the war] right,” echoing exactly the same sentiments that Obama has ridiculed as “a hundred years of war” when John McCain made them. Now Obama has to explain why the former Air Force Chief of Staff blames the Jews for the Iraq war:
In an interview with The Oregonion about five years ago, McPeak argued that the influence exerted by American Jews is responsible for the lack of progress in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. According to the general the problem was New York and Miami.
“We have a large vote here in favor of Israel. And no politician wants to run against it,” he said.In the same interview, McPeak spoke of his personal experience with Israel.
“I’ve spent a lot of time in Israel, worked at one time very closely with the Israeli Air Force as a junior officer,” he said, “but that’s maybe the more cosmopolitan, liberal version of the Israeli population.”
McPeak also charged that Jews and Christian Zionists manipulated American foreign policy in Iraq. “Let’s say that one of your abiding concerns is the security of Israel as opposed to a purely American self-interest, then it would make sense to build a dozen or so bases in Iraq,” he said.
McPeak’s formulation uses a little more subtlety than most of the Jewish-cabal conspiracy theorists, but the thrust is the same. Jews and “Christian Zionists” operate from a concern for the interests of Israel over America. It’s not that protecting the region’s only democracy and our strongest ally somehow doesn’t fall within our own interests, but that this group of Americans act against our national interests to manipulate American policy at the expense of our country.
Basically, Jews and Christian Zionists are traitors, according to McPeak.
How can Obama explain this away? Will this be yet another “crazy uncle” whose views on Israel Obama will disavow while not repudiating McPeak? The last one, Jeremiah Wright, included anti-Israel rants in newsletter from the church that Obama has attended for 20 years and to which Obama has contributed tens of thousands of dollars. The animus towards Israel among Obama advisers has begun to form a distinct pattern, one that shrugs and wan, partial denials cannot hide.
And it’s not just the animus towards Israel that Obama has to explain, either. Why does Obama associate with people who indulge in conspiracy theories to explain reality? Wright believes that the government created HIV to commit a genocide; his replacement believes that the CIA created crack cocaine to destroy African-American communities; and now his military adviser believes that Jews and Christian Zionists conspire to undermine America. Is this the kind of Cabinet we can expect to see in an Obama presidency?
McPeak echos McCain’s sentiments about being in Iraq for a century, then he blames the Jews for forcing us into Iraq. I’d say he’s not doing Osamabama any favors by opening his piehole.
Who knew that the laws of physics operated differently around those with different skin pigmentation? But hey, don’t try and tie such moonbattery to Obama, m’kay? From Gateway Pundit:
More Dirt on a Dirty Church–
Obama’s Church published anti-Semitic articles claiming Jews were working on “ethnic bombs.”
Sweetness and Light and American Thinker discovered this “Open Letter to Oprah” today from Obama’s church newsletter the Trinity United Church of Christ. The letter describes how Israel was working on an ethnic bomb that would kill Arabs and Blacks:
[ pictures of the newsletter here ]
Carl from Jerusalem reported this ethnic bomb:
Israel was the closest ally to the White Supremacists of South Africa. In fact, South Africa allowed Israel to test its nuclear weapons in the ocean off South Africa. The Israelis were given a blank check: they could test whenever they desired and did not even have to ask permission. Both worked on an ethnic bomb that kills Blacks and Arabs.
Arabs have always supported the dismantling of this racist government. In 1962, African-Arab Sudan granted Mandela a passport to travel with to gain international support in his struggle to free his people. Libya, among other Arab states, provided Mandela and other African liberation movements, political as well as material support. As a result, Libya was designated by the White House as a terrorist rogue state. What a great honor!
That’s going to be hard to explain.
Obama was not only listening to a nutty racist anti-American preacher but he was reading anti-Semitic literature from the church bulletin.
It looks like its time for Bambi to start working on another race speech.
Maybe he can blame white America for this, too.
I’m sure Barry O didn’t know anything about this, just like he didn’t know his pastor was a barking bigoted moonbat (before he confessed that he did know), right?
Hamas shells two Israeli cities. Israel responds. Arab League whines like Ted Kennedy at the bottom of a brandy bottle and wants the corrupt anti-Semitic United Nations to respond…to Israel, of course.
Here’s a tip for the Arab League and Hamas: if you don’t want to get b#tchslapped back, don’t start the fight in the first place, you camelhumping morons! As the youth of America are fond of saying: Don’t start nothin’, there won’t be nothin’. Or as the older generation may say, don’t let your mouth write checks your #ss can’t cash!
From the Jerusalem Post:
Israel raised the level of alert at its embassies abroad and along the northern border on Wednesday as a Hizbullah leader vowed retaliation for the overnight assassination of arch-terrorist and Hizbullah chief operations officer Imad Mughniyeh.
Israel denied any involvement in Mughniyeh’s killing.
Mughniyeh was killed late Tuesday night after a bomb, planted inside the seat of his car, exploded in Damascus’s upscale Kafar Soussa neighborhood. Security forces quickly sealed off the area and removed the destroyed car, which had its driver’s seat and the rear seat blown away by the blast.
Considered Hizbullah’s operations chief, Mughniyeh co-founded the group in 1982 together with Hizbullah chief Hassan Nasrallah, and was a member of its ruling Shura Council. He was in charge of all overseas operations, and as the chief operations officer, coordinated Hizbullah relations with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
Here’s what I’m wondering: why in the world would Israel deny involvement? I mean, even if Israel weren’t involved, they should claim credit for it and issue the following statement:
“Questions arise as to whether or not we were responsible for sending that falafel-munching bloodthirsty savage Mughniyeh to his 72 raisins. Well, let’s bury the rumors once and for all: you’re damned skippy we offed him!
“See, we don’t take kindly to cowardly terrorist organizations blowing up our women and children in our sidewalk cafes, busses, malls, etc. We Israelis are kind of funny that way. Anywho, if we could have sawed off his head with a dull paté knife and placed it smack dab in the middle of the West Bank public square, you can best believe we would have done so. For good measure, we would have duct taped a pork chop to his forehead and stuck a piece of bacon in his mouth, along with a note asking ‘Which of you camelhumpers wants to be next?’ Mess with the bull and get the horns, jihadis.
“It’s quite simple, really. So simple, even you ‘stuck in the days of the caveman’ savages could comprehend. If you f with us, we will f with you 1,000% worse. Leave us alone, and we’ll leave you alone. Sounds fair to me.
One more thing: America, we’re not in any kind of mood to hear how ‘disappointed’ you are in us for snuffing out this cretin. Did you catch the part where this bozo worked with the Iranian Revolutionary Guards? In case you weren’t aware of it, the IRG are the b#stards who have been killing your boys in Iraq. So we’ll go ahead and say ‘You are welcome’ in anticipation of your impending ‘Thanks!’
“Now, as for you Islamofascist goat-boinkers, feel free to resume worshipping that pedophile prophet of yours and stay the hell out of our back yard. You’ve been warned, you filthy fart blossoms.
