Kim Jong Il dead
Ding, dong, the witch is dead. The AP reports on it.
Here’s hoping the NorKoms get a new lease on life.
Hillary refuses to meet with Jimmy Carter
I don’t wanna like her. OK, the fact is I don’t like her. But I gotta give the she-devil her due on this one:
Former President Jimmy Carter and former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari were hoping to visit the State Department this week to brief officials on their recent trip to North Korea, but nobody at the State Department was available to meet with them…
It’s no secret at all that the Elders’ trip to North Korea was viewed as extremely unhelpful by the governments both in Washington and Seoul. Chris Nelson reported on April 29 that Clinton reacted strongly when asked in a morning meeting if she wanted to meet with Carter. From the Nelson report:
“The performance of President Carter and his delegation in N. Korea this week was either shameful or fatuous…or both…and exemplifies why Carter had no…zero…USG support going in, and even less coming out, per an alleged eye witness account of Sec. St. Clinton at the morning meeting the other day:
“‘Do you want to meet with Carter?’ Clinton is looking at papers, and just says ‘No.’ Then she pauses, looks up and adds, ‘HELL no!!!’”
Jimmy the Dhimmi is persona non grata among national Dems. Savor the aroma of that for a moment.
Three million seniors losing their prescription drug coverage, thanks to ObamaCare
Didn’t President Kick#ss tell us ad nauseum last year that if you liked your coverage and your doctor, you could keep them? Yeah, that was total bovine feces (but you already knew that). Add this to the growing list of Pelosi’s “Things we’ll find out after passing the bill”:
More than 3 million seniors may have to switch their Medicare prescription plan next year, even if they’re perfectly happy with it, thanks to an attempt by the government to simplify their lives.
The policy change could turn into a hassle for seniors who hadn’t intended to switch plans during Medicare’s open enrollment season this fall.
And it risks undercutting President Barack Obama’s promise that people who like their health care plans can keep them.
A new analysis by a leading private research firm estimates that more than 3 million beneficiaries will see their current drug plan eliminated as Medicare tries to winnow down duplicative and confusing coverage, in order to offer consumers more meaningful choices. Instead of 40 or more plans in each state, beneficiaries would pick from 30 or so.
“As a result of this policy, there are going to be fewer plans offered in 2011,” said Bonnie Washington, a senior analyst with Avalere Health, which produced the study. “There is still going to be robust choice for beneficiaries, but those who have to change plans could experience some disruption and inconvenience.”
That’s a loss of 25% of choices…in the first year of ObamaCare! But hey, I’m sure there won’t be any more of those plans disappearing after that, right?
Obama sings Kumbaya demands end to nuclear arms
During the campaign, Oprompter was criticized for being a leftist wimp when it comes to matters of national security. This weekend, he sought to end all doubts about it: he is indeed such a wimp. Cue “Puff the Magic Dragon” for this:
Going off script to borrow his signature campaign line, Obama acknowledged a nuclear-free world will not happen easily.
“I’m not naive. (Um, yeah…you are. – Ed.) This goal will not be reached quickly –- perhaps not in my lifetime. It will take patience and persistence,” he told an adoring crowd that waved miniature American and Czech flags. “But now we, too, must ignore the voices who tell us that the world cannot change. We have to insist, “Yes, we can.”
What did the NorKoms think? What do you think they thought?
At least Uhhh-bama had an appropriate reaction to the NorKoms:
North Korea’s development and proliferation of ballistic missile technology pose a threat to the northeast Asian region and to international peace and security. The launch today of a Taepo-dong 2 missile was a clear violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1718, which expressly prohibits North Korea from conducting ballistic missile-related activities of any kind. With this provocative act, North Korea has ignored its international obligations, rejected unequivocal calls for restraint, and further isolated itself from the community of nations.
We will immediately consult with our allies in the region, including Japan and the Republic of Korea, and members of the U.N. Security Council to bring this matter before the Council. I urge North Korea to abide fully by the resolutions of the U.N. Security Council and to refrain from further provocative actions.
Friggin’ brilliant, B.O.: right after you acknowledges that the NorKoms have ignored U.N. Resolutions, you call on them to…abide by U.N. Resolutions? I mean, they did such a bang-up job the first time listening to the Useless Nations resolutions, right? You master diplomat, you! Heck, you criticized your own country while sucking up to the Euros, but you can’t use stronger language in dealing with the NorKoms?
Elections. Have. Consequences.
Kim Jong Il endorses Obama
Castro, Khaddafi, Hamas…now the NorKoms. These coveted despot/terrorist endorsements just keep piling up!
