Crush Liberalism

Liberalism: Why think when you can “feel”?

DHS report on Islamic terrorism omits any reference to the “Islamic” part of it

If the bloodthirsty camelhumping jihadists don’t kill us, political correctness will.  Excerpt:

Two new documents laying out the Obama administration’s defense and homeland security strategy over the next four years describe the nation’s terrorist enemies in a number of ways but fail to mention the words Islam, Islamic or Islamist.

The 108-page Quadrennial Homeland Security Review, made public last week by the Department of Homeland Security, uses the term “terrorist” a total of 66 times, “al Qaeda” five times and “violent extremism” or “extremist” 14 times. It calls on the U.S. government to “actively engage communities across the United States” to “stop the spread of violent extremism.”

I guess if there’s any silver lining, it’s that the word “terrorism” is now used instead of “man-caused disaster”, so there’s that.

Nappy Napolitano is bound and determined to keep an eye on the Tea Partier type, while ignoring the type who attacked us on Sept. 11.  (Sidebar: For those of you on the left, feel free to Google “9/11/2001″ if the date doesn’t ring a bell for you.  You’re welcome.)

bin Laden parrots left’s global “warming” talking points

Let’s see here:

Blame America.  “Must act now.”  Bush’s fault.  Must sacrifice the economy in order to avert environmental catastrophe.

Yep, sounds like the usual pablum we’d expect out of Obama.

Hmmmm?  I’m sorry, what was that?  Oh, my bad.  Gotta get my hearing checked.  That was Osama, not Obama.

Seriously, though, isn’t ObL simply echoing the same sentiments we’ve heard ad nauseum from the left for years now?

Exit question: Will bin Laden be considered for a Nobel Prize next time?  I mean, Al Gore got one for his commitment to fighting global “warming” and Arafat got one for his commitment to blowing up as many Jews as possible.  ObL has now done both.

The perils of treating Islamic terrorism as a law-enforcement issue and not an act of war

Like I asked last week: You get the feeling that B.O. is incompentent in dealing with terrorism?  Yeah, me too.  Instances like this only add to that sentiment:

A federal judge tosses a Club Gitmo detainee’s confession as coerced.

The Panty Bomber was “singing like a canary“, until he was read his Miranda “rights”.  He then lawyered up and clammed up.

Even his dog washers at the NYT are beginning to think he bears a strong resemblance to Jimmy the Dhimmi Carter…and like the rest of normal America, they know that’s not a good thing.

Do you get the feeling that Obama is either not serious about, or incompetent in dealing with, terrorism?

So do I.

Night and Day, “DHS’s assessment of airline terror threat” edition

DHS top dawg Janet Napolitano thought the current airline security system that let through a camelhumping bloodthirsty Islamofascist hellbent on doing Allah’s will massacring flight passengers was working smoothly.

That is, Nappy thought it worked…before she didn’t.

Luckily, the State Department is getting involved…after they passed on two opportunities not to give this man a visa.

Don’t you feel safe with this woman and her bosses as night watchmen, America?

Terrorists “Saved or Created”

Such is the column by Claudia Rosett, and it is absolutely awesome!  Excerpt:

Every time it seems he’s said much, much more than enough, Jimmy Carter is back in the news — this time defending his handling 30 years ago of the Iran hostage crisis. Speaking while on a visit to Thailand, Carter told reporters that when the hostage crisis began in 1979, “My main advisers insisted that I should attack Iran.” Carter says he decided not to risk the loss of life (there’s no reference in this latest story to the American lives lost in the botched rescue attempt he authorized and then aborted).

The result was the gross humilation of the U.S., as the hostage crisis dragged on for 444 days — until Ronald Reagan took office. And from those beginnings on Carter’s watch came an emboldened Islamic Republic of Iran, a terror-based regime which for 30 years has been brutalizing its own people, setting up global networks of terrorist finance, weaponry and murder, and is now closing on the nuclear bomb. How many lives has this cost already? How many more will this cost in times ahead? There may be no way to assign a precise number, but the answer is definitely “many”  — including Iranians themselves, among them the five now sentenced to death for their roles in the June pro-democracy demonstrations. As Iran continues to export its message and tactics of terror, possibly soon to be turbo-charged with a nuclear arsenal, the odds keep climbing of devastating tolls to come. …

Do yourself a favor and read the rest of it.  Or you suck.  Your choice.

Chicago mayor: Guns, not bloodthirsty camelhumping jihadists, responsible for Ft. Hood shooting

Further proof that you can club a liberal upside the head with facts and it wouldn’t even leave a mark.  Quote:

On Monday, Chicago Mayor Daley blamed the Ft. Hood Jihad Massacre on America’s love of guns!

“Unfortunately, America loves Guns. We love guns to a point where that uh we see devastation on a daily basis. You don’t blame a group.”

I’m confused.  He just said that “you don’t blame a group”…right before he blamed a group.  You can’t blame Islamofascists for acts of terrorism, but you can blame Americans who exercise their Second Amendment rights?  WTH?

Notes Andrew Marcus:

Taking Mayor Daley at face value for a moment, is he seriously arguing for increased gun control on a military base? If there had been more guns around, this ticking Jihad bomb could have been put down a lot faster than he was.

Liberals: Exiled from reality and living in ivory towers.

CNN now resorting to perverting quotes in order to advance their narrative that Hasan did NOT act in the name of Islam

Full story here, and you MUST read it.  It’s not long, but it is darned sure informative.  It’s yet another example of CNN clinging desperately to their narrative that Hasan’s Muslim roots had no part whatsoever in his actions.

Exit question to Axelturf and the rest of the B.O. administration that love them sum CNN: Is this your idea of a “legitimate news organization”?  One that pieces together two unrelated quotes used in a context not even remotely related to the point the reporter was making?

In spite of Ft. Hood shooting, Army still clinging to “diversity” priority

For the love of…ah, skip it.  Story here, but this is the money quote:

The Army Chief of Staff, General George Casey, raised concerns over the weekend that innocent Muslim soldiers could suffer as a result of the shooting at Fort Hood.

“I think the speculation (on Hasan’s Islamic roots) could potentially heighten backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers,” he said on ABC’s “This Week.”

Our agencies knew that Hasan was exhibiting jihadist tendencies, yet didn’t stop him.  I would say that I wonder why, but in light of Gen. Casey’s “please don’t offend our Muslim soldiers” comments, I think I’ve got a pretty good idea what Hasan wasn’t stopped sooner.

I would advise any potential workers, including would-be military recruits, to NOT join any organization that values political correctness over your safety!  The only thing more tragic than the shooting at Ft. Hood and its effect on family members and friends of the victims is the sick, perverted viewpoint of P.C. cretins.  “Yeah, it’s a shame that those people died, but man, it would just be even more gruesome if we offended Muslim sensibilities!”

The wussification of the country continues.

UPDATE: Obama fiddles while Ft. Hood smolders

UPDATES FOLLOW.

No, I’m not bashing B.O. for what happened at Ft. Hood yesterday.  Unlike the left who blamed everything under the sun on Bush, I am not saying, implying, or even thinking that this was B.O.’s fault.

Then what am I trashing him for?  This:

THE PRESIDENT: Please, everybody have a seat. Let me first of all just thank Ken and the entire Department of the Interior staff for organizing just an extraordinary conference. I want to thank my Cabinet members and senior administration officials who participated today. I hear that Dr. Joe Medicine Crow was around, and so I want to give a shout-out to that Congressional Medal of Honor* winner. It’s good to see you. (Applause.)

My understanding is, is that you had an extremely productive conference. I want to thank all of you for coming and for your efforts, and I want to give you my solemn guarantee that this is not the end of a process but a beginning of a process, and that we are going to follow up. (Applause.) We are going to follow up. Every single member of my team understands that this is a top priority for us. I want you to know that, as I said this morning, this is not something that we just give lip service to. And we are going to keep on working with you to make sure that the first Americans get the best possible chances in life in a way that’s consistent with your extraordinary traditions and culture and values.

Now, I have to say, though, that beyond that, I plan to make some broader remarks about the challenges that lay ahead for Native Americans, as well as collaboration with our administration, but as some of you might have heard, there has been a tragic shooting at the Fort Hood Army base in Texas.

Man’s got his priorities in order, huh?  Give a little “shout out” to his homies in the Interior before…”wait, what was I going to address?  Oh, right, now I remember”…honoring our soldiers.  You know, if I didn’t know any better, I’d swear that the left doesn’t really give a rat’s rear end about or soldiers.

By the way, despite the MSM’s attempts to make this look like a lone nutjob (with no religious or political motivation) fearful only of deployment who committed this horrific act, it looks like the camelhumping bloodthirsty jihadist has a soft spot for suicide bombers and the Muslim who shot up the Arkansas military recruitment center.

UPDATE (11/06/2009 – 2:10 PM EST): Apparently, I’m not the only one who feels like B.O. really dithered on this one.  Here’s a great column by Robert George entitled “Obama’s Frightening Insensitivity Following Shooting”.

Also, as tnjack points out in the comments, The Gilded Leader has implored us not to “jump to any conclusions” about the shooter.  Yeah, really!  I mean, if only we could all be as restrained as a man who didn’t have all the facts about a white cop who “acted stupidly” and a loudmouthed beligerent black professor…

Bizarre story of the day, “French gay soccer team” edition

Isn’t “French” and “gay” redundant?  I mean, “Not that there’s anything wrong with that!”    Excerpt:

A French gay soccer team says its members were victims of homophobia when a team of Muslim players refused to play a match against them.

The Paris Foot Gay team says Tuesday it received an e-mail from the Creteil Bebel club canceling a match scheduled for last Sunday.

“Because of the principles of our team, which is a team of devout Muslims, we can’t play against you,” the e-mail said, according to Paris Foot Gay. The e-mail received Saturday said, “Our convictions are much more important than a simple football match.”

Exit question #1: Is there a designated “straight” soccer team?

Exit question #2: Since when was sexual preference a descriptor of a soccer team?

9/11/2001

For those of you on the left, feel free to Google that date, as I’m sure it doesn’t ring a bell for you.

My, how far this country has fallen since that fateful day. We went from strong resolve and determination, to being run by a bunch of limpwristed leftist pansies intent on apologizing to the world for bringing 9/11′s “chickens home to roost” (to quote B.O.’s preacher and mentor). Heck, we almost watched a 9/11 conspiracy nut get appointed as a commie job killer “green jobs” czar. The prior administration did such a good job at keeping this country safe since that time, so much so that the country felt comfortable enough to elect someone who has no intention of fighting Islamic terrorism. I fear the ramifications of such naive complacency.

At any rate, my heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones in the Islamic terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.  May God bless them, and may God have mercy on this lost country of ours.

Administration frees terrorist who attacked Americans, will prosecute OUR interrogators instead

Eric Holder, a man of priorities.

First, he fought to secure the pardon of FALN terrorists in 2000.  Then, after the administration decides to free a Gitmo terrorist who attacked our soldiers in Afghanistan, Holder thought it would be a fine idea to prosecute not the terrorist, but the CIA interrogators who might have spoken harshly with a 9/11 mastermind in order to obtain life-saving intel.

Remember when Uhhhh-bama said he didn’t want to look backward?  As with all of his other statements, that one had an expiration date.  It’s like dude’s a serial liar or something.

You know, if I didn’t know any better, I’d swear that B.O. and his cronies don’t really have American interests at heart.

Jimmy Carter: Hey, we can trust Hamas, but them Jews?

Anti-Semitic former president Jimmy the Dhimmi Carter never met a dictator or terrorist thug that he didn’t like.  The same foreign policy genius that gave us gas rationing, a “wear a sweater” energy policy, a 444-day American hostage standoff, and legitimizing Arafat has decided that Hamas really isn’t such a bad group of guys.  I mean, if you can just get past their whole “death to Israel” charter and stuff, they’re practically jonesing for peace!

Details:

Former President Jimmy Carter will urge the Obama administration to remove Hamas from the terrorist list, FOX News has learned.

Carter, a chief defender of the U.S.-designated terror group, said Tuesday he will meet with officials in the Obama administration in two days to discuss his latest trip to the Middle East.

The international community has asked Hamas to recognize Israel, renounce violence and accept previous peace deals as part of ongoing efforts for Palestinians overall to acquire their own country. Hamas has refused.

And just how stupid is Carter?  This much:

According to two eyewitnesses, including a 15-year-old boy, the bombs that were found were intended to hit Carter’s vehicle as he exited Gaza. There is some suspicion that Hamas extremists (redundant much? – Ed.) linked to Al Qaeda may be behind the attempt.

“Hey, let’s remove from the terrorist list a group that is trying to kill me!”  No wonder he lost 44 states to Reagan.

Headlines, “Osama afraid of Obama” edition

If Ted Kennedy is reading the title of this post, my apologies for the confusion.  Anywho, are you ready for the AP spin…er, headline?  Here it is:

“Bin Laden’s Obama criticism a sign he is worried”

Dude.  Seriously…I mean, dude!  I thought it was satire until I actually read this:

CAIRO – A day before President Barack Obama is to deliver a speech here seeking goodwill with the Islamic world, al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden tried in a new message Wednesday to convince Muslims they should hate him.

The message was the second from al-Qaida in as many days criticizing Obama. Analysts said the PR offensive shows the terrorist organization worries the new president will succeed in improving America’s image in the Muslim world and undermine the group’s anti-American jihad, or holy war.

“Obama’s election is just about the worst thing that could have happened to these guys,” said Tom Sanderson, a terrorism expert at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies. “They knew right away that his election undermined a key part of their argument that the U.S. was anti-Islamic, that the U.S. was racist.”

Oh, so a group of people that hates Jews detests the U.S. for being racist?  Got it.  Thanks for the clarification.

Ace lambastes it better than I ever could:

Yes, bin Ladin’s criticism of Obama is a sign that Obama is scary-tough on terrorists. He never criticized Bush, after all. Or at least AP did not deem any such criticism of Bush to be a signal that Bush’s policies were working.

Quite the opposite, in fact. When bin Ladin seemed to endorse John Kerry for president in 2004, the media redlined its spin-engines claiming that this was reverse psychology intended to get Bush reelected, because, of course, we all know that Bush was the best thing to ever happen to bin Ladin.

And now? Well, now bin Ladin no longer utilizes reverse psychology. Surely this isn’t a reverse-psychology ploy, as the media insisted was utilized in 2004, to actually support Obama because he likes Obama’s weak-sauce policies. No, this time, bin Ladin’s word is bond, the AP figures.

Nope…no liberal media bias!

Obama’s Muslim slip is showing

Remember this during the election?

In September 2008, candidate Obama told a Pennsylvania crowd, “I know that I’m not your typical presidential candidate and I just want to be honest with you. I know that the temptation is to say, ‘You know what? The guy hasn’t been there that long in Washington. You know, he’s got a funny name. You know, we’re not sure about him.’ And that’s what the Republicans when they say this isn’t about issues, it’s about personalities, what they’re really saying is, ‘We’re going to try to scare people about Barack. So we’re going to say that, you know, maybe he’s got Muslim connections.’…Just making stuff up.”

Yeah…“making stuff up” about “Muslim connections”!

ABC News’ Jake Tapper and Sunlen Miller report: The other day we heard a comment from a White House aide that never would have been uttered during the primaries or general election campaign.

During a conference call in preparation for President Obama’s trip to Cairo, Egypt, where he will address the Muslim world, deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications Denis McDonough said “the President himself experienced Islam on three continents before he was able to — or before he’s been able to visit, really, the heart of the Islamic world — you know, growing up in Indonesia, having a Muslim father — obviously Muslim Americans (are) a key part of Illinois and Chicago.”

Oh, well.  At least he condemned the Muslim killer in the Army recruiters shooting.  Wait a minute…now that I think about it, he didn’t condemn the Muslim shooter.  Maybe because he was too busy sending federal agents to guard abortion doctors.  Priorities, priorities.

UPDATE: Shooter of unnamed religious affiliation shoots, kills Army recruiter

UPDATES BELOW.

Here’s a link to the story, with the following excerpt:

A man with “political and religious motives” killed a soldier just out of basic training and wounded another Monday in a targeted attack on a military recruiting center, police said. The shootings were not believed to be part of a broader scheme.  (As opposed to the lone nutbar who killed the abortion doctor?  I don’t recall seeing the disclaimer that he wasn’t “part of a broader scheme”, do you? – Ed.)

Let’s see: what “political and religious motives” might a man with an Middle Eastern-sounding name harbor that would encourage attacking U.S. Army recruiters?  Hard to say, considering that the word “Muslim” or “Islam” never appears in the article!  But nope, no liberal media bias or anything!

Exit question: Since we just saw an article that attempted to put anti-abortion foes on the defensive for an act of violence commited in their name, when will we see an article that puts a similar scrutiny on Islamofascists?  Naming the religion isn’t too much to ask, it is?

UPDATE (05/02/2009 – 05:30 AM EST): The story has since been updated to include the previously unmentioned religion, and as sheer luck would have it, it was indeed Islam.  Who knew?  (Hat tip to Pablo)

Weekend roundup

Obama says that just because his SCOTUS nominee is a race-obsessed leftist ideologue doesn’t mean she’s unqualified to sit on the bench, and that she should not be filibustered.  The same dude that tried to filibuster a far more qualified jurist in Sam Alito is saying that there shouldn’t be a filibuster?  Alrighty, then.

By the way, since the MSM is telling us that Sotomayor’s compelling story (born poor, raised poor, life as a minority, overcomes all to be a federal judge) is reason enough for America to love her and to put her on the court, I do have to ask: where was the MSM when this same story manifested itself in Clarence Thomas and Miguel Estrada?  Nope…no liberal media bias!

Some wingnut psycho murdered an abortion doctor in Kansas.  Predictably, the MSM chooses to make this nutjob the face of principled anti-infanticide folks like me.  I don’t know how many different ways we can cite “Thou shalt not murder” to show where we stand on murder, both babies and abortion doctors.  If this nutbar were a true Christian (who wasn’t deranged, that is), he would be aware of both the aforementioned commandment, as well as Romans 12:19: “Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY,” says the Lord.”

B.O. offers his “personal commitment” to Muslims.  Yeah, I bet.

As we leave May and head into June, New York gets a big dose of global “warming”, AKA a freeze watch.

For once, I agree with the Russkies, and they would know first hand about this: “American capitalism gone with a whimper.”  The column is excellent, however critical (though largely accurate) it may be of American society.

Obama’s bad week

The week’s a little more than halfway over, and let’s see what our illustrious Genius In Chief has had to endure, shall we?  Te recap:

He doesn’t know his own Secretary of Defense’s name.  We know, we know…you inherited him from Bush.

He’s fighting with his own party to close Gitmo.  For some really weird reason, a lot of people don’t think it’s a good idea to close a terrorist Alcatraz and bring bloodthirsty jihadist camelhumpers to America where they might try to blow up NY synagogues.  Go figure.  Especially when 1 in 7 freed Gitmo detainees return to terrorism (the administration was trying to keep that factoid on the “down-low”, so as not to undermine his stupid, heavy-on-emotion-but-light-on-fact case for closing Gitmo unduly alarming anyone).

Jobless claims are on the rise at a record pace.  Oil prices are up.  The CBO says unemployment will keep going up through next year.  We’ve quadrupled our deficit from last year.  The dollar is teetering on collapse.  Yet the MSM tries to sell us on how the economy has turned around?

The Gilded One has been caught in a lie about the “transparency” we were going to see from the Porkulus bill he signed into law.

Thanks to Uhhh-bama’s unholy alliance with unions, union-based companies are going to find it tough to get loans for their businesses

Oprompter’s vice-president isn’t exactly the shiniest light on the Christmas tree, and it’s proving to be very “distracting”, according to a new book.  When he plagiarizes Hillary’s Tuzla moment as something that really happened to him (forgetting that we’ve heard the story before, and from/to someone else), it’s easy to see how Quayle…er, Biden…can be such a “distraction”, no?

Remember Team Obama’s promise that “no one earning under $250k will see their taxes go up a dime”?  Well, the Senate is bringing up a federal beer tax to fund Omarxist’s socialized medicine plan.  I had no idea that the only people who drank beer were folks who earned a quarter million dollars and higher.

On the positive front for him:

He still has the NYT in his pocket, so much so that they’ve opened their very own NYT Obama merchandise store.  But no, no liberal media bias or anything!

Confirmed: Pelosi’s a liar

Remember when Pe-loco said that she was never briefed by the CIA on harsh interrogation tactics, otherwise she would have objected?  Yeah, well, as usual, anything that comes from San Fran Nan’s piehole must be taken with a block of salt.  Details:

Intelligence officials released documents this evening saying that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was briefed in September 2002 about the use of harsh interrogation tactics against al-Qaeda prisoners, seemingly contradicting her repeated statements over the past 18 months that she was never told that these techniques were actually being used.

In a 10-page memo outlining an almost seven-year history of classified briefings, intelligence officials said that Pelosi and then-Rep. Porter Goss (R-Fla.) were the first two members of Congress ever briefed on the interrogation tactics. Then the ranking member and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, respectively, Pelosi and Goss were briefed Sept. 4, 2002, one week before the first anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. …

Lemme guess: The CIA’s lying, right?

If she were genuinely appalled at the prospect of bloodthirsty jihadist camelhumpers being inconvenienced, why didn’t say anything when she was told?  Maybe because she knew Americans really didn’t want to hear a Left Coast loco boo-hooing for Islamonutjobs so soon after 9/11, and thus, decided to forsake her principles in favor of political expediency?  But now that Americans have pathetically forgotten about 9/11, opting instead to bask in the glow of having elected an American Idol instead of a leader for president, it’s safe to come out as appalled…right, Nan?

Elections have consequences.

Weekend in review

Here’s the haps from the weekend:

My county now has a case of the swine flu at one of the local schools.  Friggin’ wonderful.

RIP Jack Kemp.

You know how I’ve been saying for the last five years that global “warming” nuts prefer to use the term “climate change” or other euphemisms when it’s cold and “global warming” when it’s hot?  The NYT confirms this calculated effort by the environuts.

Finally, the Obamedia does some deep investigative journalism of the president.  Excerpt:

Obamas take a walk, holding hands in the evening

WASHINGTON — The first couple took full advantage of the cool spring night.
After a date night out on Saturday evening, President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama decided to take a stroll when their motorcade arrived back at the White House.

So they began walking on the driveway of the White House South Lawn while holding hands. First they passed the West Wing, then their children’s swing set. They kept walking, swinging their hands together. …

The Obama administration threatened to use the power of the adoring “enchanted” press corps to destroy a Chrysler investment firm if it didn’t go along with Chavez’ Oprompter’s bankruptcy plan.  Chicago thuggery at its finest, no?  Paging Mr. Orwell!

Our ideologue president gets to pick a Supreme Court justice, since Souter is retiring.  The balance of the court isn’t changing, since Souter’s a leftist anyway.  But the odds-on favorite to be his replacement is a woman who says that “the courts are where policy is made“.  But hey, why would you go thinking she might be a leftist judicial activist or something?

Napolitano is at it again.  Yet another memo has emerged from her agency that describes a different breed of “extremists”: People who oppose giving drivers licenses, in-state tuition, medical benefits, or public schooling to criminal aliens.  That pretty much paints the vast majority of Americans as “extremists”, no?  Conspicuous by its absence from the list of “extremists”, however, is Muslim extremists.  “Jewish extremists” is on the list, though, although for the life of me, I can’t recall an act of domestic terrorism perpetrated by a Jewish extremist.

Obama: Hey, how’s about we prosecute the folks who prevented an al Qaeda attack on L.A.?

Man, for a non-Muslim, dude sure seems to get his turban boxers in a bunch over successful efforts to thwart bloodthirsty jihadist camelhumper attacks.  Just sayin’.

Excerpt:

The Central Intelligence Agency told CNSNews.com today that it stands by the assertion made in a May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that the use of “enhanced techniques” of interrogation on al Qaeda leader Khalid Sheik Mohammed (KSM) — including the use of waterboarding — caused KSM to reveal information that allowed the U.S. government to thwart a planned attack on Los Angeles. Before he was waterboarded, when KSM was asked about planned attacks on the United States, he ominously told his CIA interrogators, “Soon, you will know.” According to the previously classified May 30, 2005 Justice Department memo that was released by President Barack Obama last week, the thwarted attack — which KSM called the “Second Wave”– planned “ ‘to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into’ a building in Los Angeles.”

Here’s the conundrum for the left:  Supposedly, torture doesn’t work, right?  But supposedly, Bushitler McRummyburton “tortured” Al Qaeda detainees.  As the evidence shows, we obtained plum information from these supposed “torture” techniques that prevented tons of American deaths.

So either (a) “torture” DOES work and Bushco were guilty of, um, saving American lives; or (b) this was NOT considered “torture” by Darth Cheney and friends, since “torture” doesn’t work.  Either way, the left is screwed in their arguments.

It appears that this is yet another one of Uhhh-bama’s many promises that have expiration dates.  Anything to throw the moonbat base who elected him a bone, right?  Disgusting and shameful.

Friggin’ brilliant, B.O.  Let’s punish the people who prevented the Left Coast from getting whacked 9/11-style.

What?  Wait, you also had to endure the “I Love You” theme from “Barney & Friends”?

OK, there may be a point to this “torture” claim after all.  Seriously, hook my jewels up to the electrodes and drop the toaster in the bathtub, but for the love of Allah, please stop that infernal Barney crap!

British Catholic “leaders” want Muslim prayer rooms…in Catholic schools!

Hat tip to PabloD for passing on this bit of Euro P.C. lunacy.  From the UK:

Muslim prayer rooms should be opened in every Roman Catholic school, church leaders have said.

The Catholic bishops of England and Wales also want facilities in schools for Islamic pre-prayer washing rituals.

The recommendations were made in a document, Catholic Schools, Children of Other Faiths and Community Cohesion.

‘If practicable, a room (or rooms) might be made available for the use of pupils and staff from other faiths for prayer,’ the bishops said.

‘Existing toilet facilities might be adapted to accommodate individual ritual cleansing which is sometimes part of religious lifestyle and worship.

At least one sane person was quoted in this article:

Daphne McLeod, a former Catholic head teacher from south London, said it would be ‘terribly expensive’ for the country’s 2,300 Catholic primary and secondary schools to provide ritual cleansing facilities.

She said: ‘If Muslim parents choose a Catholic school then they accept that it is going to be a Catholic school and there will not be facilities for ritual cleansing and prayer rooms.

‘They do their ritual cleansing before they go to a mosque, but they are not going to a mosque.

‘I don’t think the bishops should go looking for problems. Where will it stop?’

How’s about a chortle at this poor schlub’s naivete?

But Majid Khatme, a Muslim who sent his children to a London Catholic school, said he was delighted by the gesture.

‘It is very kind of the bishops if they give this facility for Muslims to pray,’ he said.

‘I would love to send a letter of thanks to the bishops, really. If they do this all Muslims in Britain will be thankful to the Catholic Church to have facilities to pray. It is very, very encouraging.’

Oh, I see.  Allow Muslims to pray in Catholic schools and the jihadist weirdbeards will suddenly stop self-detonating and screaming “Death to Infidels!” in light of their newfound respect for British dhimmis!  Yeah, good luck with that.

It seems like only yesterday that the UK was a respectable, awe-inspiring nation.  Now, it is a pathetic caricature.

al-Qaida weirdbeard: Obama is a “house Negro”

Doesn’t have the same melodious ring to it when the slur is directed at Obama instead of a Republican, does it, liberals?  From Breitbart:

Al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader used a racial epithet to insult Barack Obama in a message posted Wednesday, describing the president-elect in demeaning terms that imply he does the bidding of whites.

The message appeared chiefly aimed at persuading Muslims and Arabs that Obama does not represent a change in U.S. policies. Ayman al-Zawahri said in the message, which appeared on militant Web sites, that Obama is “the direct opposite of honorable black Americans” like Malcolm X, the 1960s African-American rights leader.

In al-Qaida’s first response to Obama’s victory, al-Zawahri also called the president-elect—along with secretaries of state Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice—”house negroes.” (Hey, what a coinkidink! That’s the term that Harry Belafonte used for Powell and Rice, too! I’m just sayin’… – Ed.)

Speaking in Arabic, al-Zawahri uses the term “abeed al-beit,” which literally translates as “house slaves.” But al-Qaida supplied English subtitles of his speech that included the translation as “house negroes.”

Then Zawahri treats us with this warning:

Al-Zawahri did not threaten specific attacks, but warned Obama that he was “facing a Jihadi (holy war) awakening and renaissance which is shaking the pillars of the entire Islamic world; and this is the fact which you and your government and country refuse to recognize and pretend not to see.”

Dude, your timing sucks.  I mean, we’re not “pretending not to see” that a big AQ operative just died from a scorching case of gonorrhea and U.S. missiles, but mostly U.S. missiles.  So nice job reminding us how friggin’ scattered you camelhumping jihadists are, you cowardly weirdbeard.  Your time can’t be far away before you get to explain to God why you thought snuffing out innocent lives would earn you eternal brownie points.

Taliban annoyed over mimes and dead jihadists…but mostly dead jihadists

Although you gotta admit that mimes can be pretty annoying!  From Pakistan:

Two people wounded in a suspected U.S. missile strike in Pakistan’s northwest have died, raising the death toll to 24 in an assault that has deeply angered the Taliban, officials said on Sunday.

The U.S. has ramped up cross-border strikes on alleged al-Qaida and Taliban targets along Pakistan’s side of the border with Afghanistan, straining the two nations’ anti-terrorism alliance.

The intelligence officials, who received their information from informants and agents in the field, said the Taliban appeared to have been particularly angry over the latest strike, a signal that a senior militant may have been killed.

Exit question: Am I the only one who won’t lose any sleep over the Taliban being perturbed at us?  I didn’t think so.
